COUPLE FINDS FULLY-AUTOMATIC M16S IN STORAGE CASES BOUGHT ONLINE

The thing is if it was a set up wouldn’t the ATF set up to catch a bigger fish rather than a couple of minnows trying to make a few bucks turning surplus gun cases?
Could it be that the case with the m16s was somewhere along the line inadvertently not emptied and therefore mixed in with hundreds of empty cases ? Aside from the fact the this gun case would weigh about 42lbs heavier ( not 100 lbs as some one else suggested) no one would know until the case was opened.

The ATF likes going after the little fish that are far less likely to fight back. This allows them to set precedent for their power and authority without physical or financial risks.

I discussed this with my son whom is very savvy on such issues and he agreed with your premise of going after the small fish.
Now it is crystal clear to me that this was no accident, but instead a trap set for this couple.
I was naive to believe otherwise .

A couple finds a case of M16's and Calls LEO about it .. so permission to come is granted by the couple ..

Surly the couple would have said we have XXX more of these cases at this storage unit we should go check them too just in case ..

so why did they need a fking warrant for the other boxes at the storage unit .. ?

someone should FOIA the serial numbers of the guns in Fast and Furious and FOIA the serial numbers of these M16's and see if holder forgot to
ship a case .. LOL ..
