This means employers are going to have to start being more competitive. There will be plenty of great, high-paying jobs with fantastic benefit packages for everybody.
Also, the housing market should settle down and gas prices should plummet due to much lower demand.

What I think is going to happen is akin to what a Loan Shark does to people that don't pay: We're Trillions in debt, have massive legacy costs, and financial obligations...We're a bit too powerful both militarily and with armed Civilians to invade or start a War that would eliminate a sizeable portion of the populace (remember Kids, "War" is about population reduction irrespective the excuses its started under) So a Biological weapon will be used to reduce the herd size, ostensibly Darwinizing what's left...of Course the "Elites" and those high ranking in the Government will be protected with antidotes/vaccinations (you never create a Disease without a Cure at the same time) and the Money left behind, the unclaimable Social Security, no longer paying Disabilities, pensions, et.al., all that money will be claimed from Financial institutions and stopped payments from Uncle Sam, and to top if off, there will be more resources for those left behind to lay claim to....tell me I'm wrong, that it couldn't, wouldn't happen....I'll listen.
