When I had a KSG, it was reliable to all hell. I only had one malfunction due to a short stroke on my part during rapid fire that was remedied by pumping it again.

Yeah my KSG is very reliable. I've used it for defensive shotgun classes with 100's of rounds. Short stroking can happen with any pump firearm. I put a Meprolight optic on it, with a flashlight attached to the fore grip. I like the bullpup configuration, as it's very maneuverable within the confines of my home.

IIRC Larry Vickers even went on in his review to say it's not a gimmick and actually not a bad shotgun...

Here’s a spot on review of the DP 12 . I’ve had this shotgun just shy of 3 yrs now with no failures whatsoever.
It’s heft and buttpad make it a pleasure to shoot all day by minimizing felt recoil . There is a small learning curve to run the gun . Shoot 2x then pump !

His partner who got all the guns and ammo for the videos died prior to the raid. His death was one of the reasons for the raid.
I still stand by saying Carnik Con and Ashley Dougan was the best gun YouTubeer. Shame he has MS and had to stop making videos.
