They both seemed to remain calm, but what a hot mess. They're lucky to live. The guy comes back in the door (not sure why?) and Mom seems to think that harsh language at that point is sufficient to keep this dirtbag at bay. It almost cost her her life as he got close and took her gun. Bravo tho these 2 for fighting back.

I bet they had no professional training, and considering they likely fought on instinct alone i think they did good.
Now, i could certainly critique plenty of mistakes, but the video shows "untrained" females fighting a determined attacker. Imagine a teacher with something like 40hrs of professional training.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
At 1:25 the criminal reenters the store. He's about 15 feet from the mother when she appears to verbally interact with him. She allows the criminal to get close enough to her to grapple and take her pistol.
She was in possession of a ranged weapon. The criminal should never have been allowed to get close to her. Her only verbal exchange should have been, "Get on the ground!" Non-compliance should have been met with enough force to stop the threat.

Really, im impressed they survived, and based on how they conducted themselves it seems as if they had no training.
The left likes to say that women are more likely to have a gun taken from them (almost did), but in this case they survived. Just imagine if they were trained.

A professional training outfit located near them should offer them couple of free gift certificates for proper training.
I don't know. If I was in that position, I may have taken the shot. Mother was completely behind perp, let the modern ammo do its job and take a chance. If he had gotten her gun (which he did) things were going to get really ugly. That shot might well have saved them both. Very risky, but played off for them.

He was on the receiving end of quite a few shots. Perfect example of why the seven round limit by monkeyface was truly unSAFE. He kept coming at them until he finally couldn't take another step.

I wonder if the mother was empty. She fired twice after he exited and then perused. Maybe she fire 3 more outside and the one that landed when he was coming back in was the last? If not the mother should have kept shooting. Either way had she shot him with a 45 he would have gone flying back into the parking lot and the encounter would be over.

She did lose control of it, he wrestled it from her near the end and turned it on the daughter. That's still a bogus reason for leftists to make it harder for these women to obtain a firearm, and some good training could have mitigated that outcome. Thankfully the good guys won this round, but I think it was more a lesson in how not to conduct a proper defense against an attacker.

I get it. There are certainly plenty of mistakes that people could learn from here, but a win is a win.

Oh I agree, I just don't buy into the ends justify the means. I'd like to see these ladies get some training and be ready the next time some douchebag wanders into their store.
There are a bunch of lessons to be learned in this video.
In no particular order
1) off body carry is stupid.
2) handguns are not great at stopping humans. (This lady was using what a .357mag at what bad breath range?) Handguns are to give you a chance to get to a real gun.
3) Capacity is a thing, she was out of those 6 rounds real fast and he was still out powering her.
4) ability to reload under stress and have extra ammo if you aren' going to a rifle.... (thank God they didn't reload otherwise it' 50/50 on if they will be arrested and convicted if murder)
5) train

So it looks like the mother shot him once when he first went around the counter and 2 more times as he was fleeing and then again as he came back in. The daughter appears to have landed 2 shots. So the bad guy was hit 5 or 6 times!

Or there were no vitals to be reached. We'd have to know where the shots hit to determine this. One was definitely in the leg yet he seemed to be able to walk and fight no problem. I'm going with adrenaline and or drugs on this one.
