good luck! timing seems to be 90 days exactly. I've heard people had issues with their fingerprint cards not being accepted, so make sure wherever you get them taken does a clean job.
Got my CT permit in the mail the other day basically on the 90th day. No complaints though, happy I got it.
Could be, I've read about this happening with other non-residents as well but they could also just be backed up.thats exactly when mine was issued. You think they are holding them the full 90 days?
Effective 7/1/2016, Nevada now recognizes Utah. The only thing that Arizona really gets you now is New Mexico.
Florida covers NM too, but the fingerprint process with Florida (must be done by a LEO) can be a PITA and it can be cost-prohibitive. Florida also requires live fire, while none of the other listed states do.
The state police take your prints for free.
Yes, they do. But some people don't have the luxury of living near State Police barracks that are staffed 24/7. I happen to live about 5 miles from Troop HQ. Where I work, however, it's about 35 (driving) miles and nearly an hour drive to HQ. There are two SP barracks in between, but they are really just unstaffed offices.
I went to the call box hanging at one of the non staffed ones near me and told them what I needed, they arrived and did my prints.
Another epic case of CT non resident fingerprints. Today I received the envelope with the "fingerprints rejected" BS. This time they sent two fingerprint cards.
I swear they do this shit on purpose. If they know that they fuck around with peoples fingerprints so much why dont they send two fingerprint cards when they originally send the application out!? Its aggravating.
Regardless the fact, heres a tip for any people who might read this to find out about the CT non resident process: After you originally call to order your application, wait a week and then call again to order another application packet. I did this because I was going to keep an extra copy for my wife, but never used it. I could've waited less than a week to receive my second packet so that I can use both cards to send out since I knew they use fingerprints as an excuse all the time, but I got desperate and wanted to just send it out immediately. Now I regret it because maybe that second card would've saved me this trouble now.
Its been over two weeks since I sent my original packet and its NOW that I receive the fingerprint letter. Almost three weeks of wasted time. So take my advice if you're planning on applying for your CT non resident.
the instructions i have say "(front side only, not reverse)"
i was approved in CT with a westchester sport target license.
@Calculon damn they took over 2 months to request new prints? That seems like an extremely long time.
Actually took my wife that long to get reprinted so that delay on us not CT.
