I also do say these things face to face to people almost daily as I get asked a lot of questions from my patients. The other issues don't effect the country? Really? Why do you think you pay so much for health insurance? No different than auto insurance where they average the amount of accidents to decide the premiums the same is done for "health" care. How much do they spend on treatment? That's directly impacting your premium. The fact that those things haven't brought the country and world to a stand still is pathetic and shows you truly how much this election virus, fear mongering and panic is in play. I have had "issues in my court" as you say personally and with family members yet still I know BS when I smell it and don't live at effect because of it. Knowing you or what you have been through has zero impact on my understanding of health after 26 years in practice, immunity, how to achieve as normal function as possible and the absolute dog and pony show being played out by those who want to turn this country into total government control. Look at post #96 above. You don't think the government has your best interest in mind when it comes to the 2nd yet you seem to trust them with your health and this whole situation. Stunning. Their "cure" is far worse than the disease ever was. In reality it did little to change the course of the disease, but it did vastly increase the power of the "rulers" in nearly every country on earth.
And for the record, in 2019 with no covid a little under 3 million Americans died. In 2020 with covid a little more. It is *not* the apocalyptic disaster it is being made out to be.

After looking at this "pass" crap and reading articles and posts on this forum, a metric crap ton of scientific papers, a myriad of articles by people across the political spectrum on vaccines, PCR "tests", "passes", masks, hand sanitizers, ad nauseum, I find that I am greatly shocked and disappointed at the lack of common sense of the average person the world over.
The fear is almost palpable. But far worse are those who revel in immersing themselves in the minutiae of their "new normal." I almost feel sorry for them...almost.
The fUSA is gone...there's no reason to believe it will ever even get slightly better - it's all downhill from here. A nation of lemmings dragging everyone along into the pit.
I'll be 74 in the next 30 days and never seen anything like it - not even when nuclear weapons were hanging over our heads daily in the 1950's - not that they aren't now.
When I was in grad school, many of my friends were PhD/MD students or MDs getting their hands wet, as it were, in bench science. I was often told - you should get your MD too, you'd make a good physician. Didn't because I was 5 years behind everyone else because of the USAF/Vietnam thing. And frankly, I can't stand the sight of a hypodermic needle penetrating human skin - don't faint, I just look away.
Wish I had gone to med school, or whatever, so I could interact, as you do, with people who have serious concerns and questions about the COVID crap, and trust you to give them clear no BS answers.
I commend you for standing for your beliefs and easing some of your patient's concerns. At least they have a sane person giving them an enlightened outlook.

Coming from you that's a huge compliment. There is much you know that I don't and I do always appreciate your perspective. Yes, critical thinking has gone by the wayside. It is quite stunning.
I use the term "brutally honest" when I discuss things with patients. They will always know where I stand and appreciate the feedback even if it blows them out of the water lol.
Many on here know more about firearms as well as many other topics than I ever will. I though have had the good fortune of learning about and understanding what health really is and will default to that as well as my experience in applying it over the last 26 years.
As you expressed, this situation more than any other in my lifetime has shown how sad and frustrating it can be when it comes to buying into a narrative. I have hope but little faith in humanity looking back over the past year. I fear for my kids and their kids one day. I just hope there are enough people that can see this eventually for what it really is. Much respect for you because IIRC you were more towards the concern and fear when this scamdemic initially hit. You did though have the common sense and fortitude to rethink your position though as things played out. Kudos to you.

Indeed it was....but my lack of knowledge of coronavirus molecular biology in particular (mutational frequency most specifically) led me to buy into the fear early on.
Also it became obvious that the ChiComs created it in Wuhan.
Much of that was due to Mrs. prambo's compromised immunity - I'm preternaturally protective of her.
But I slowly, too slowly, saw that even though the virus was originally really nasty, it wouldn't stay that way.
Because of the steadfast prodding of yourself, @holdover and others here, I kept reading and learning, and it quickly became obvious SARS-CoV-2 was rapidly changing and not the reincarnation of Ebola.
When FauXi started flapping his semen-stained lips it was obvious the fix was in.
