Today, Senator John DeFrancisco sponsored a bill that has been introduced in the NY Senate! Senate Bill S7671! This is great progress! This is the news I told you to be looking out for!
This bill will rename the bridge “The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge”. In this way, it’s a compromise that allows our bridge to keep its original name as part of its official name. In other words, if this bill passes, it will again be The Tappan Zee Bridge!
