With a population of just under 20 million in our state , 5.8 million registered dems , 2.6 republicans and 2.5 million unaffiliated that leaves damn near half the population not registered ! Granted the remaining population would include under age children, but there is a large group of Voting age New Yorkers that don’t bother . The unaffiliated could help tip the scales as well .
We need to educate like minded New Yorkers that feel that their vote wouldn’t matter . If we want change we need to motivate or fucking push people to register and vote !! We will never change the minds of leftists ( it’s a waste of our breath) , all we need is to get people with common sense to vote.
I’ve found that when I bring a newbie to the range it opens up for a casual conversation about gun laws in New York ( a light bulb will light up ) which also leads to the topic of politics . A few that I’ve introduced to shooting are now registered republican voters. Recently 2 guys from work and a family member also applied for pistol permits . It all starts with a simple invite . Many small steps is far better than no steps at all.
Lastly if we could convince republican voters to STOP FUCKING moving out of New York State “because of the weather “ we could stand a chance .
Oh and a BIG FUAC !!!!

I hope that you are right. But the thing is, people seem to look past the inevitable.
That is, the only person that would be able to beat FUAC is another NYC (downstate) Democrat... IMHO
So I don't see anything in NYS improving at all...
All and all, It's up to the NYS citizenry who will vote for what and who they want... And they will,
and it will be yet again another corrupt downstate Democrat.
The lazy fucks and the FUDDS that don't vote could be a help in this mess that NYS is in.
But I do not see that fact changing any time soon.

I don't think Cuomo has any less desire to sit in the White House than any of the other Democrat contenders. It's just that he's a narcissistic little fuck and can't take rejection. Being defeated in the Dem primary, let alone the actual Presidential race, would be the ultimate humiliation. Thus, he's going to stay where his victory is a pretty safe bet (judging by the past several elections). He isn't going to humiliate himself on the national stage if he can stay comfortably in the governor's mansion here, with no accountability or oversight.

Dems are clueless as to how much he is running this state into the ground.
Here's the thing, and sorry many wont was t to believe it, but he wont run for POTUS on the simple fact he is not considered left or liberal at the national level, and because of that he wont run and will just stick to running for Governor or NY where he is pretty much guaranteed to win

If you really want change then you need to support candidates that support your views. Get on your local Republican, Conservative, Independence Party, and yes even Democratic Party, committees. From my recent foray into local politics I know it's a very insular world but it can be done, especially at the local level (Town/Village). Do it from the bottom up.
As for candidates who can beat Cuomo, I think there are many Republicans out there who can. The State Committee is a joke and Ed Cox needs to gtfo as soon as possible. He's the epitome of a RINO and only cares out enriching himself (kind of like Tom King at NYSRPA). Astorino had a chance, a good one too, but didn't get the support he deserved by the State or National Committees. Molinaro was less so but still could've gotten it if he had gotten more support. A well-funded and supported candidate like Chris Gibson I think could oust his ass (especially true if/when the Dems get the White House back...Trump rightly or wrongly has been hurting Republican/Conservative candidates in blue states).
Beyond that, if monkey face keeps running for office, and my political career is successful, I'll run for governor in 2028 or 2032 and I'll beat his ass.

At this point NY is so corrupt that an upstate Republican wouldn't change a damn thing either. It's all about money. These people are all just paying us lip service.
