Whether he'll ever be truly tried in a court of law for allowing and supporting violations of the first, second, and fourth amendment is a different matter entirely. He'll never be prosecuted anytime soon, but it won't change my view that I think he should be.

What exactly is the purpose of any "law" which prescribes waiting 10 days to obtain an additional firearm other than instituting a defacto denial of having the ability to posses Your Own property. In addition, there is no county currently in NY that issues an amendment quicker than 10 days anyways (correct if wrong)...

I just read this article. What it says if he is looking to increase the waiting period from 3 days to 10 days. I wonder if that means only if there is a red flag does the standard waiting period grow to 10 days before you can just pick up the gun?

Also, as per the article, it is already passed the assembly which is two thirds Demoncrats, and it's waiting for a vote in the Senate. We still have a majority in the Senate so it's important for everyone to call their senators and oppose this.

CA State law (cooling off law) before NICS was established. Now You buy the gun go through NICS then wait 10 days and go through NICS again to pick it up.
NICS was supposed to get rid of waiting periods.

I cant find the actual text of this bill but the way I read this is its an extension of the 3 day delay to 10, not 10 days across the board. If you get a proceed, no 10 day wait.

What FUAC is trying to do is make it so if you get a delay on your 4473 (which if as of right now by federal law, if the FFL doesn't hear anything back in 72 hours aka 3 days, they are allowed to proceed with the transaction and give the buyer the gun) it is a 10 day wait for the dealer to finish the transaction and sell the gun to the buyer vs 3 days currently

what exactly are Vermont's laws about buying a firearm? Say I wanted to buy a 12ga shotgun, can you go to Vt and just buy it and bring it home? Or do you need to send it through a FFL? Handguns I get it, but long guns?

Private sales, you just made your deal, other than adding it to the permit there was no G involvement. Use to see a lot of guns, hand guns and long guns advertised in local publications just like you would buy or sell any other piece of your personal property. No G involvement. We were a better country back then.

initial pistol permit wait is usually a lot shorter than nearby Counties also.
Mine took 2 months. The wife's took 1 month.
These were more than 5 years ago now, but I haven't heard of things getting worse.
