They'll never let NYC go under water. NYC is concentrated power. If you let people disperse over a larger area, it's harder to have a stranglehold on the state from a voting perspective. It's much harder to rent control the entire state than it is a building, to keep low income liberal voters on the dole.

Agree. It really fucked a lot of blue states. It won't ever come back because it will be seen as giving money to the wealthy.

It was subsidizing us, but on the other hand blue, high tax states also disproportionately contribute federal--even with the salt cap. The poorer red states do not pay the same amount per person because their economies tend to be weaker with less per capita income.

It's somewhat worth it if it hurts cuomo.

You are right. But this is the same argument the left uses for abolishing the electoral college. I hate that I’m paying more taxes. We already pay mire taxes than anywhere else in the nation. But I want Trump to keep fucking with money face. Now let’s just hope that SCOTUS rules in favor of NYSRPA and we can begin dismantling the outrageous gun restrictions in this state.
