Just like No Fly No Buy lists or the State's mandate that mental health practitioners flag their patients to see if they are a pistol permit holder, it'll result in hundreds (maybe thousands) of guns being confiscated without anyway of getting them back.
What exactly would trigger this I wonder? I mean, it's one think if the kid is legitimately threatening to shoot up a school. It's quite another thing if the kid is simply talking about how excited he or she is to go target shooting that weekend or going to hunting with family. Or wears camo to school or an NRA shirt. What about a teacher that, for whatever reason, just legit has it out for a kid (or their parents) and wants to stick it to them? "Little Johnnie or Little Susie is making me uncomfortable in class. Take all of mom and dad's guns." That parent spoke up at the School Board meeting. Clearly they're a threat. Send in the swat team.
Once again, another law that will be ripe for abuse.

As a former high school mathematics teacher I understand and completely agree with the statement above.
I can see it now. Teachers will be giving out secretive little surveys to their students asking them about firearms under the pretense of "safety". Questions will ask things like if the child feels safe in their own home. Does daddy own any guns? Do kids at your home ever get to handle the guns? Does daddy ever raise his voice or get angry? Do YOU ever get angry or upset? And on and on and on...
And then a letter from the school district will get sent to the pistol permit judge in your county, and the local PD demanding that all of your guns get seized (and with no provision for due process and return of your property).

And for the most part it wouldn’t be your kids math or English teacher that’s just trying to get them through the standardized tests pulling this shit (unless they’re a fake teacher activist with Teach for America or such), it’s the administrative hangers-on and social workers infesting schools who find it much easier to fuck with peoples lives as their personal make-work project than do a real job.

Their finding? The girls were OK with it.
Then again, the Liverpool police and Town of Clay courts did not pursue it either. The town court bailiff is also the schools SRO.
