Eh, just home school your kids if it's not too late for that. The school system is totally screwed. Some kids are smart enough to see through the BS others just fall for it.

I've been calling for home schooling for years. Would solve for a multitude of problems ..... including shootings.

My son was involved in a physical confrontation with the student (totally wrong on his part).
The girls were friends of his and they hung out together all the time. They complained about the pictures.
The student was told to stop . He did not.
Words were exchanged and my son punched the other kid. Again , wrong way to handle the situation.
My son was suspended for 2 weeks. The other other student remained in school.
At the" Superintendant's Hearing" , approx two weeks after the incident, the vice principe said that they have not investigated the incident.
The girls had not been interviewed at that point.
I pretty much asked WTF NOT? I was not happy.
The other student had not missed school other than a half day to be checked for concussion.
My son was not allowed to return to school for another 4 weeks . He went to the cafeteria at Wegmans with other students to be tutored.
This was mostly looking up stuff on Google.
They day before he was to return to school the guardian of the other student pressed assault charges . The story was that she asked if the school could guarantee his safety. They said no. I say keep your dick to yourself and things will be fine.
At that point, my son was done with the situation. the girls didn't stand with him and he stopped hanging with them.
So we had to go to town court for assault and endangering a minor ( he was 15, my son 16).
boiled down to stay out of trouble and it will be sealed.
At graduation the other kid made a comment on the Senior Memories video about the situation ( remembering the good times they had in whatever class it occurred in). My son got pissed and stormed out of the auditorium. A vice principle phoned me and suggested the he not attend prom that night. The other student was not given the same request but was sent home for the day. ( for his protection??)
I spoke to two vice principals and told them how they failed the other student as he did not learn a thing from the incident and appeared to think it was a fucking joke.

Your son's action, now a days condemned, is completely overshadowed by the schools incompetency. Public ed at it's finest. Gone are the days of valor when we attended. Private or home schooling would be much better suited ..... if feasible. That ''sealed'' order will be opened if he ever applies for a PP.

It sounds like your son has learned an important early lesson about the dangers of white knighting, literal cockblocking, and the character of women.
Had you cloistered him in homeschool as others suggested, you would simply have delayed the inevitable until later when the stakes are much higher.

So if a teacher who is for gun control by any means knows that a student's family has guns and claims that the student, who maybe has ADHD or is "mouthy", is "a threat" they can sic the police on the family?

The teacher can make the request based on any false claim and LEO would have no choice but to abide by the law. If your 15yr old had a knock out brawl (such as my son has had many times) teacher could say he is a potential threat. Now up to the family to fight it and takes money to fight it. End result, typical gun owner would give up his right to own a gun rather than pay $15k (just a guess) in legal fees to fight it. I have a lawyer now for none firearm reasons that I am paying $425/hr for.
