Cuomo touts SAFE Act as national model

This idiot just loves to pat himself on the back. I’m sure something is happening in the back rooms of NY politicians offices right now to further push their agenda.

Capitalize on a tragedy for his own personal gain. Fortunately the rest of the country is smart enough, I hope, to never let this guy get elected as President.

I don't think he will. If he's touting the SAFE act as the gold standard, he can't diminish his gold standard and say the national level should adopt it.

I think he'll hold, while criticizing the nation and being a dick per usual.

They love to stand in front of cameras and tell the nation that all gun owners and the NRA are bad and that they, and only they have the answer to the question of the mentally unstable. If the nation listens to them, Schumbag and Monkeyface will keep them safe from all the bad guys.

the sad truth is, many of the liberal/progressive populace will believe these two scumfucks.

I tend to agree with this. Having more or all states adopt the safe act would be a huge win for him. Better than any new laws he could push through here in NY. I think most likely he will wait to see what happens nationally and act accordingly. We would be seeing more from him by now if he were going to jump right in with new laws.

True. I mean, anyone who touts the safe act as actually making things more safe in any way is a little crazy.

Promoting the safe act at the national level, is like being a proud grandparent when your daughter just got knocked up in middle school or something. You have to have a few screws loose to be OK with it.

His brain is messed up. It worked because we had 0 mass shootings with an assault riffle before the same act and we still have exactly 0 after the safe act. It effectively did 0 good. It hurt legal law abiding citizens. I think he may loose this time. I hear his fight with the NYC mayor is tanking his favorability in NYC.
