Unless the state is split in two I see complaints against its wholesale democratic ownership as a waste of time. It's just what we agree to by continuing to live here. There are not enough people in NY to care. Maybe if things get bad enough they will, but it’s a slow boil now and most are not interested.
And that's going to be helped by the ones who DO care up and leaving? Guaranteeing that those who are left who might care will forever be outnumbered?
That seems like a good strategy. Maybe by the time they reach whatever State you flee to we'll have perfected interstellar travel and you can leave the planet.
