So hopefully I’ll be able to get my PP this will be my first purchase. (and I’ll be contacting the clerk to make sure I won’t get denied before doing it, if he says I will I’ll obviously wait the year and a half but in the mean time I’ll give someone in this family the money to buy it and get it legally gifted not given under the table.)


I’ve been reading a lot about this and CZ and I’m seeing nothing but a great product. One thing I don’t like is how there’s no safety; like a Glock. But hey, triggers don’t pull themselves.

Any input here? Anyone own one? Or own something from this brand of firearms?

I've got one. I love it. Trigger is great with a super short reset, even though I just put an HB industries trigger on it which improved the take up quite a bit. Definitely one of the most accurate out of the box guns I own. Grip can be very aggressive depending on how tightly you squeeze the thing, so if you have soft girly hands you won't like it. If you have working man hands no problem.

Why wouldn't you be able to get your permit?

My edc is a Cz p07, never had any issue with it , shoots well. A little bulky would be my only gripe the p10 doesn’t have the da/sa controls so it should be slimmer.

I don't think that's accurate. I think if you've been discharged and you're under 21 you can. If you're still in, you can't. I may be wrong though.

Cant go wrong at all with a CZ and yes it seems the gen 1 issues (one of which really wasnt an issue. Mag release or slide stop being stiff cant remember) have all been fixed.

The biggest one being the issue with the backplate/striker I dont remember all the details but because of the shape of the backplate the striker was falling backwards and getting stuck or something I cant remember.

But CZ jumped right on that and changed the design.

Good choice for a first pistol. One thing I still hear is some people have issues with the stock trigger pinching their finger or something. But I know of 2 aftermarket triggers both of which everyone seems to love.

Hell I held a 10c a little bit back it felt awesome, so much so I almost went back the next day to try and do a trade with my G19 with the slide milled (I didnt because I would have lost a lot of money in the end on the trade then have to send the 10c to get milled)


But yes cant go wrong with this at all.. make sure to check out Cajun Gun Works if you want to swap anything (springs from CGW are always a good thing to get, if only because they use a better metal, not that the oem are bad but better is better)

Also check out Primary Machine. They were an early P10c company mostly because they started doing a lot with the P-07/9 when others overlooked that gun and then transitioned to the 10c when that came out

The newer p10s have a reversable mag release button. They are no longer fully ambidextrous.

Is that really same as an Honorable Discharge? I recall reading my dad's papers that my sister sent me after he passed. He was released from active duty in Sept 45 after WW2 ended but didn't receive his Honorable Discharge until 1947 after his original commitment lapsed. The Honorable Discharge was an actual certificate alot like a college diploma.

BTW I'd reconsider some language posted about how you intend to transfer gun...

Anyway good luck with process.

That’s complete bullshit, if ya train you can unholster, take off the safety and get one shot off under 1.5 seconds.

Are you looking for a carry piece? If so, I would recommend something a little more easier to conceal that is still shootable. Something like a Shield or the like that still shoots almost like a full size. Maybe even the Sig P320 that the army uses with the subcompact chassis that you will be familiar with.

Just my opinion. Especially if you can’t legally buy one and have to have it gifted to you by family. That thing is concealable but not as concealable as something thinner with a shorter grip that doesn’t poke out.

Most people I know that started with a Glock 19 which is about the same size as that CZ ended up buying something else for carry. There are exceptions of course but most find it too big. Including cops. That size becomes a burden for lots of people and is the reason why subcompacts are so popular.

It was ok but I never really got comfortable with it.
Now I carry either a GP100 3 inch or a glock 20....even in shorts and a tshirt all summer.
Of course im 6ft 230lbs so I have "room" to conceal.
But I know 150lbs guys who carry full size double stacks.

I love my 75 BD for exactly this reason (among others but this is the main one). Draw, point, shoot.

140lb right here (5' 5") and I carry a glock 45 with RMR and x300u or a glock 17 with the x300u (isnt milled at this time but same size as the G45 minus line .5" off the slide/barrel)

oh young man...
Go watch a few hours of footage on John Corrias Youtube channel.
Nothing is as clear cut as it seems.
He has hours of footage from all over the world of self defense shootings.
Manual safties can get you killed.....even with training.

I’ve used the shield numerous times, I was “meh” with it. I wish there was a range around here that would let you rent out firearms @Marine Cpl told me in a letter or two about the p320 and I don’t remember if it was him that said you can change it to be compact, subcompact, or normal size for a cheap price. But yes @Marine Cpl I’m looking to carry.
