So I shot a CZ scorpion 9mm pistol today and while it looks like a fun gun I wouldn’t buy one without doing some modifications to the safety, lighten the trigger pull, put a brace on it or SBR it and putting a can on it.
The gun:
Just basically a big 9mm that you use two hands to shoot like a TC Contender or an Encore. Magazine well is forward of the trigger guard. The sights are ghost ring back with a blade front. It is pretty heavy as far as handguns go but it was not unbalanced by any means.
The Ammo:
Blazer brass 124 grain FMJ.
Distances:
10 and 15 yards
Purpose:
Spend time and money at The Gun Range. I haven’t been on a range in a couple of weeks so I was itchen for some trigger time.
The farther out I got the more to the right I shot. Now this is based on a few of things. One I cannot see the front sight post on a pistol clearly without glasses on. Two I didn’t wear my glasses and finally, three I suck.
Overall impression:
It was a fun gun to shoot. If we could have one in NY I still don’t think I would choose it Over something like an MP5. It handled well and shot good groups (even though I wasn’t wearing my eyeballs). The safety lever digging into my trigger finger was a definite distraction but I pressed on and went through 100 rounds anyway.
Anytime you can shoot something that scares the Libs you take the opportunity to do so.
