I used to sometimes follow a bus last on way to work at 6:15 am (So High Schoolers) that did that. 4 stops in barely 100 yards. The reds would turn off and yellows on immediately as we went 3 or 4 houses down. Then the dumbass kids would walk out of the house and down the driveway with no urgency and wearing t shirts in January.Yet another law with good intentions that got pushed to the point it's insufferable.
"Muh children."
How about, with the bus stopping every 20 ft holding up others that also have a schedule and also paid for the use of the roads, the bus has a designated stop that the kids go to so there is one stop and not one every 10ft.
"But in the winter", yep, they might get cold and have to be careful walking. Deal with it.
I'd say it depends on how bad the wreck is and whether anybody else stopped. If I get wrecked I'd hope someone followed the vehicle that fled and told the cops where they are. This brings up a good question:
Is it better to stop and make sure the victims are ok, or chase the perp so the police know where to look?
