No video in this case, but they said that stuff in my daycare when I was a kid. So I can 100% confirm it absolutely has happened, because it happened to me. I have no reason to believe it still doesn't happen. I remember being scared shitless of it, just like the kids in the OP video.
Oh, okay. I thought that since you brought this up in this particular thread, you had something recent that we could have commented on.
More pointing out that if everyone is going to consider this child abuse, then there are a lot of other things that go on that are equally as damaging. Sorry if I don't have a video, but this type of thing absolutely occurs. People get outraged about the thing in the OP video, but not things that have been going on for a long time that are just as bad.

If you believe the danger is real (as the religious do), then warning the kids is not abuse.
If you really think they'll go to hell if they don't, then it would be abuse *not* to induce that fear in them.
Or do you think "stranger danger" and "drugs are bad" were also abuse ?
Appropriate age and maturity is important. Both telling little kids they will go to hell and scaring them like they with a mask is potentially abusive, given the age of the children. A 16 year old, not so much because they understand it's just a person in a mask and also can start to rationalize religion.
Stranger danger not so much because sick fucks target little kids more due to them being relatively helpless. Shit, I'm an adult and still wary of strangers if their behavior is off. Drugs can be good and bad. Any substance introduced to the body that alters its biological function is a drug. Are Asprin and high blood pressure drugs bad? I'd say no. Is street heroin bad? I'd say yes.

So, you agree that telling kindergarteners that strangers could be bad men who will do bad things to them isn't abuse because it is a legitimately valuable lesson to learn and isn't just fear mongering.
The same with "illegal drugs will ruin your life".
Even showing them some examples from the news about what horrors both can lead to can be a reasonable action to take.
The religious themselves believe the horrors of sin. They honestly believe that is a much greater danger to the kids than the drug dealers or kidnappers.
Now, you may not agree with them that such a danger is real, but that doesn't change the fact that they do.
It's more about how you do it so it's age appropriate. Little kids arent fully mentally developed, how you describe the same thing to them can be abusive because of their reaction to it. As it relates to "little" kids....
On "bad men"-
Not Appropriate: There are bad people out there that will steal you, take off your clothes, put their penis in your butt and then choke you to death and throw your dead body on the side of the road to rot.
Appropriate: Not all grown ups are nice even though they might seem nice. You should only talk to your parents or people your parents say it's OK to talk to.
On God-
Not Appropriate: hell is a place of suffering and pain forever and ever where you will burn in flames and be tortured if you don't obey God's will.
Appropriate: Hell is a very bad place that you don't want to end up in.

I can see that argument.
But, I also think kids are far more resilient than we give them credit for, and our current tendency to try to keep them from growing up too fast is to their detriment.
Kids in the US today are considered too young to stay home alone when 100 years ago kids at the same age held down a full time job, and on other countries are soldiers fighting wars today.
It is good to protect children so that they can mature properly, but not if that protection stunts their growth.
People have perverted the notion of the job of a parent.
A parent's job is not to protect their children from all the evils of the world. It is to prepare them to face them.
Much of what is wrong with the western world today stems from a couple generations of this.
We have people in their 30s and 40s who aren't prepared to deal with the world. People who don't know how to deal with any adversity, who think "trigger warnings" is the proper answer to uncomfortable topics.
