Interesting. So, if NYS puts all of our gun shops out of business, the State would be required to operate as an FFL to uphold our 2A right? Yeah, sure.

Shouldn't the ATF pull their FFL as per the recent "zero tolerance" initiative that ATF has used to shut down hundreds of little guy independent shops? Just sayin....

An FFL is someone you have to go to who conducts the background check with the NICS system. whorecul added an extra "FFL" when she said the first FFL must contact the NYSP who then conduct the background check using NICS. Then she also gave them power over non-firearm related material.
essentially NYS is now one big inefficient and malicious "FFL" whose only goal is to delay and deny our rights.

Do they have a decent selection of guns & ammo for sale? Which barracks do I have my out of state handgun purchases shipped to for transfer? What are the NYSP gun shop hours? I can’t WAIT to check out the store!

Uh, no. The FBI still does the NICS checks for firearms, but NY FFLs must now use the NYSNICS system. As such, the FBI is not, and never was, an FFL, even though they conducted BGCs. The NYSP is not an FFL, any more so than a county clerk that adds a pistol to your license.
