This a gun shop or just ffl?
He's a retired cop, just mainly ffl working out of basement. Kind of strange because because he does sell stuff too, but really doesn't advertise. I guess enough locals keep him busy enough to keep him happy. This a gun shop or just ffl?
free transfers on Chippewa Street last i heard LMAO ..
I had to call them multiple times to get them off there ass and ship a gun to me that I bought.
It sucks that there is such a lack of firearms dealers that these idiots get to survive. Competition that understood customer service should have buried these guys long ago.
Why would he claim this?He told me it was a misdemeanor before I could even say anything.
Johnson's Country Store in Lockport. They do them for $10.00 +tax. 716-434-9411
I just called them and verified.
He said it was part of the safe act.Why would he claim this?
Huh, I guess there are a lot of misdemeanors happening at other FFL's, guys a dope.He said it was part of the safe act.
It's NY. Everybody is a criminal now.Huh, I guess there are a lot of misdemeanors happening at other FFL's, guys a dope.
So I wonder how some get away with a $25.00 fee, not that I'm complaining but seems they could be putting themselves in jeopardy.Safe act website states no dealer is required to do a transfer and if they do, must not charge more than $10.
Bunch of horse shit if you ask me.

Don't know, but consider yourself lucky to find anyone to do it when they are not required to. Especially at that price. So I wonder how some get away with a $25.00 fee, not that I'm complaining but seems they could be putting themselves in jeopardy.
I haven't done any private since 2012 so I don't know who charges what other than what I've read here.Don't know, but consider yourself lucky to find anyone to do it when they are not required to. Especially at that price.
Yep, people only see the background check part of a transfer. There are other things the FFL must do after the check and actual transfer especially in the case of a handgun. Fact is time and paperwork add to the cost. $10 simply won't make an FFL want to do a transfer.$10 + $15-20 "admin fee"
So what you are saying s an FFL should work for free while people undercut him by buying online? I'm sure the FFL has bills to pay, like over head, just like you and I but he should take one for the team while you take advantage of him?So when an FFL doesn't do a transfer he is doing just what FUAC wants, stopping the sale/transfer of guns in the state. Maybe these folks should consider doing no-fee transfers to encourage more people to buy firearms.

Did I say " Work for free", ummm no. But if someone is going to help me, I would help them and give them my business.
I remember in the "old days" I would find a deal and get with my FFL to get it for me. I paid him to get it for me, paid his mark up. That's not working for free.
That's right. I try to buy the little things from a shop when I can, but that's about it. Here's an example and I won't name anyplace. I recently bought an anderson lower for their normal $35 and $10 for ffl to receive. I noticed a shop this week selling same lower for $90. That's just insane, and also why most shop online now.Ha ha ha. Most people “say” they will help and give business but when it come to dollars and donuts......no helpnis given.
I suggest you be an ffl forma year. Then get back with me with your business plan.
