I have to go in there every day to buildings all around the city. There are a lot less than usual but Still too many people on the streets for my comfort. No more hostile or agitated than usual. I go in to the building I'm working in and jump back in my van and get out when I'm done. No delis or walking around anymore. Don't touch elevator buttons and wash my hands after touching anything. Unfortunately my job was labeled essential so I have to do what I have to do. But get in and get out is the new mantra.
Yes but there are far too few in that shithole that act like they are. Too many of them have gone so liberal that they're helping destroy this country. I'm not saying let them die I just don't like them

This is how sad and disorganized it is in the city so far.
I'm a Paramedic at one of the hospitals who provide EMS service within the FDNYs 911 system. My partner got tested because he wasn't feeling well and his results came back positive for COVID-19. I just started having chills and body aches on Satuday so I called my hospital and asked if I can come get tested as my partners results came back positive and I was sitting inside an ambulance with him for 12 hours.
I was told that because I am not critical that I cannot be tested and was advised to go to another hospital or call NYCs DOH 800 number and see if I can get testing that way.
Sure as shit, I was told that due to limited supplies that I could not be tested.
It's pretty fucking sad when you are out there on the front lines risking your own health and you can't even be tested to see if you are positive or not.
Cuomo and Diblasio both need to GO after this shit is done and over with. I don't care if they need to drag them out of their offices; the ball was dropped from day one. They should have gotten ahead of this shit sooner knowing the population density of NYC.

I am in a similar situation in the city as well. In my case, my wife had bad symptoms went to the ER on Sat. She got tested. My job still said that I had to come in. I did, stayed in my car and showed them her paperwork. They finally sent me home. Now I have to find a place for myself to get tested.

If they refuse to test people who probably have it, but aren't dying yet, of course the figures are going to look scary.
