An hour ago, my wife gets a text and starts laughing. I ask what's funny?

My wife- I wonder what _______ did now (referring to her employee that I've met before)

Me- why did _______do something dumb at work? ( My wife has had an awful week or 2 at work due to corona)

My wife- no, _______ asked me if the Springville police had called me today...

Me- ??

My wife - more texting back and forth with her employee

My wife- apparently ______ got stopped at a checkpoint in Springville on his way into work this morning. He was asked if he is an essential employee and what he was doing and where he was going. _______ gave the police my wife's name and number as a reference who will attest to his job duties. ______ was nervous and wanted to see if the police followed up what he told them or not.



Me thinking to myself- hmmmmmm.................

Like I said, I'm only reporting something I heard, exactly how I heard it because it was odd enough I felt worth sharing.

My wife is not at all into conspiracy stuff and the guy who allegedly told her he went through a checkpoint is a total sheep that is worried about his own shadow. He was worried he was going to be in trouble with the authorities.

That's all I know. I don't know any other details or specifics, or where in the Springville area this occurred. I don't even know if it was town police, troopers etc...


I just thought it was "out of place" enough that it was worth sharing in this thread.
