DEC Delivers - Information to keep you connected and informed from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

These changes only apply to commercial fishing.
New York State Summer Flounder Permit Holders:

• Effective Sunday July 23, 2017 at 00:00 hours, the commercial SUMMER FLOUNDER (FLUKE) fishery is CLOSED.
• This closure will remain in effect through Monday, July 31, 2017.
• Effective Tuesday August 1, 2017 the daily trip limit is set at 50 lbs. This trip limit will remain in effect until further notice.

This action is taken pursuant to the quota distribution schedule of subdivision 40.1(1)(3)(5) and (u)(4) of 6 NYCRR.

New York State Food Fish Permit Holders:

• Effective Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 00:00 hours, the daily commercial trip limit for BLACK SEA BASS is set at 30 lbs.
• Effective Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 00:00 hours, the daily commercial trip limit for SCUP is set at 210 lbs.
• These limits will remain in effect until further notice.

These actions are taken pursuant to the quota distribution schedule of subdivision 40.1 (u)(1) of 6 NYCRR.

Postcards have been sent to appropriate permit holders.
