That's where we've gone wrong. Decades upon decades of just sitting around allowing corrupt evil people to run our government and tell us what laws we have to follow with no input from us. Taxation without representation is still going on.

If 2020, or 2024 comes along and the commies take back POTUS, Senate and the house... We will be in a world of shit.




If trump loses in 2020 (and he doesn't get to replace any more SCOTUS between now and then) and the new elected commie POTUS gets to quickly replace 2 or 3 while controlling congress, man that's a scary thought.

SAF LAWSUIT CHALLENGES GUN BAN IN CHICAGO SUBURB OF DEERFIELD

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation today filed a lawsuit against the Chicago suburb of Deerfield, Illinois seeking an injunction against enforcement of the ban on so-called “assault weapons” and “large capacity magazines” adopted by the Village Board of Trustees earlier this week.

Joining SAF in the legal challenge is the Illinois State Rifle Association and a private citizen, Daniel Easterday, who resides in the village and is a gun owner. The lawsuit was filed in the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Lake County. Plaintiffs are represented by Glen Ellyn attorney David Sigale.

The lawsuit challenges the village ban under a 2013 amended state statute that declared “the regulation of the possession or ownership of assault weapons are exclusive powers and functions of this State. Any ordinance or regulation, or portion of that ordinance or regulation, that purports to regulate the possession or ownership of assault weapons in a manner that is inconsistent with this Act, shall be invalid…”

“We moved swiftly to challenge this gun ban because it flies in the face of state law,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “While the village is trying to disguise this as an amendment to an existing ordinance, it is, in fact, a new law that entirely bans possession of legally-owned semi-auto firearms, with no exception for guns previously owned, or any provision for self-defense.

“The new ordinance also provides for confiscation and destruction of such firearms and their original capacity magazines,” he added. “What is particularly outrageous about this new law is that it levies fines of up to $1,000 a day against anyone who refuses to turn in their gun and magazines or move them out of the village by the time the ordinance takes effect in June. This certainly puts the lie to claims by anti-gunners that ‘nobody is coming to take your guns.’”

Based on ex post factor yes the mag would be legal the state offered no way to register it. But good luck finding a judge in NY or the second circuit who would set the precedent. It would nullify the ban because in most cases there is no way for them to prove you got a mag unlawfully. This happened with the 94 ban. What we have is a clear violation of ex post facto and Activist judges will send people to jail based on the local unconstitutional law and their beliefs.

The laws are being brought to court using the same tired arguments that keep getting shot down ... There are allot of other angles no one seems to be using in court. U.S. vs Miller specifically mentions arms suitable for militia use ... and no one will argue that an AR15 is suitable if we cant have machine guns or sawed off shotguns would make sense an AR15 is quintessential firearm .. as most gun owners agree the modern day do it all musket and there for protected. Not a single recent case brings this up. WHY NOT?

the recent post of the law student fighting NYC is a fresh twist. The Law student is using the law its self against itself which is brilliant. He stifled one of the judges with flat out common sense the judge cut himself off before he said something that would have helped the plaintiffs argument.
