At least 118 Seattle police officers have left the department, the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH has confirmed. In September alone, 39 officers left the force when the SPD typically loses 5-7 in that month.

I thought they stopped the calls to defund the police. Doesn’t make the other stuff right. This is no surprise to me at all. All the cops I know want out.

I love reading these stories. For years people have painted cops as losers with no options, yet nationwide, cops are fleeing law enforcement easily. I found a job before I even worked my last day, choosing from the 5-6 I was offered without asking or even ever having created a resume (I have to get around to that...). All it took was, "I'm retiring guys!," or something to that effect on Facebook and, Boom! the calls started coming in.
