You're not very well up to date obviously. There ARE countless WELL trained militia members and like I said ex military that are attending. Many have planned for this for a while now. They do have back up plans. They DO want to be there too. Lots of people pretty open about it too. Yes the majority are angry people, what the hell is your point? no shit people are angry LOL. :wtf:

I am not one to speculate. But I do prognosticate from time to time, not based on weird vibes from the whathefuckisphere, but from what I see, read, and hear, all wrapped in one cozy bundle of who shot john, and I have to say that at the onset, no, the numbers of government payed employees who would be covering their ass and protecting their income would be overwhelming. However after the initial blastoff, all bets are off as things go tribal and guerrilla. In the long run the might of the sheep will most probably be denied.

Anybody walking into that area , armed or un armed is putting themselves in a tremendous amount of danger. If I were a militia leader I would not have my people anywhere near the place. I want them as far away as possible, Since I know that 90% of the state police will be present in Richmond My people would be withen striking distance of any state police barracks and garages across the state , if things go south , they lose their barracks. coms , spare cars, operation centers, motor pools, personal cars in the opening salvo while they're protecting the King . But, Im an ex serviceman. those poor souls marching into an ""arena"" where their opposition will be coming in from the other side have no idea whats going on. What Im saying is , its mostly going to be people who dont know any better. or dont care. No military guy worth his salt would want to get caught in there.

I dont believe most of the people who are going, are going there to start a war. I do believe some are . On both sides. But the majority? No. A lot of uninformed people dont see the dangers of it. So if the shooting starts nearby, by provocateur's from any side, people will hear the sounds of battle and not know what the fuck is happening, they will react. How? Im not sure. How will the police react? It could get ugly quick .

Maybe Im wrong, I know If i was there to start a war , Thats not how Id do it.

What is successful? There's various definitions, The objective is stop this tyranny . That is success, how its achieved is not as important. but I can see things getting to a point where no governor in the country would ever dare mention it again.

Let's add another piece to the pie if shit went south and the people were intent on taking their corrupt government in Va. The internet. Every public employee can be found on the net along with much of their personal information. The Democrats have been playing dirty, how far is it going to go before the serfs have had enough? Never happen in the never get off asses state of NY, but other places dont seem to be willing slaves.

I'm willing to bet plenty of people have that info now and been spreading it.
Certain people keep saying just because it worked for our founders, we wouldn't stand a chance. We may be out gunned militarily but we have readily access to instant information our founders didnt and ability to spread it fast.
I'm not promoting a shit show, but if it must go that way there's reason not to go for the head of the snake.

I once mentioned in another thread or maybe even this one (Don’t know anymore since there are like 5 threads on this subject) that an insurrection needs to be well planned and an unorganized armed mob standing in the cold is useless and can actually do more harm than good.

Like Holdover said, “He would have his people ready to to take down meaningful targets.” Police communications, vehicles, etc.

That’s the smart way of doing things. Unfortunately, I have no faith in the American people to do that. At least not yet and that is why I refuse to participate in these futile, unorganized, amateur events.

I’m certainly not advocating for any violent measures to be taken against the state!

However, you raise an excellent point, which should be obvious.

What does an insurgency look like (without going into the validity of the cause)?

You need:

- Leadership
- Logistics management
- Financial Management
- Resources for training
- Training program
- Man power
- Support base from the populace
- Hardware/Software
- etc

Wouldn’t it be better to discuss what proactive legal measures could be pursued? (I’m open to the fact that I might be naive)

I know where Holdover was going with it. With the amount of planning and talking about this event that has been going on I wouldn't doubt that there are groups that already have thought that through. Whether something moves forward with it we wont know until the 20th. Many here seem to equate militia groups with a bunch of red neck wanna be punks thanks to the tv programs they had on them. Some are like that but to catagorically lump them all like that cant be further from the truth. You'd be well surprised how trained and organized many of them are.
Not saying anything is going to come to this rally.

Not naive at all. You hit the nail on the head. All that can come from an organized militia but unfortunately, those are frowned upon.

That organized militia could be composed of cops and veterans that have probably dealt with those topics above before and hunters and regular people who know the nooks and crannies of the woods and urban areas.
