These guys are really putting themselves into a corner. I didn't realize Sanders (I confirmed elsewhere) is proposing a .5% tax on stock purchases.
I'm not quite sure how they arrived at it but it quotes Vanguard in there as saying the average (everyday) saver would need to work 2.5 years longer to cover this.
As long as there are people with money these people will never think taxes are high enough. The other people are never quite "paying their fair share".
