According to Politico, Biden affirmed to the visiting governors and those on video conference, that he was medically checked by doctors recently and cleared. Biden has no intention to withdraw from the 2024 presidential contest and the governors seemed to rally behind him.

Biden and Harris are sitting atop a pile of donated money. I suspect they are abandoning the 2024 presidential in favor of fortifying races for the House and Senate, and possibly various upcoming Governor races with that money.

If neither Biden nor Harris are on the 2024 ticket, the donators can ask for the money back, which they have indicated they will. If either Biden OR Harris ARE on the ticket, they can move the money around within reason. If they dump both Biden AND Harris, any other candidate they bring in starts off broke, and it's way too late to recover from that.

Neither Biden nor Harris are electable vs. Trump. So that leaves down-ballot races to fortify with the money.

If I were a sleazy Dem advisor, I would tell them to forget the 2024 presidential and hold, at minimum, the House, and impeach the hell out of Trump every time he farts for his entire four years. Also to hold state governorships and pass lunatic lefty laws to tie SCOTUS up for the next 4 years.

But hey, they were smart enough to "win", or better said "take" the presidency in 2020 with a guy who was half dead at the time, and they have the senate.
