He got all of 2/3rd's in a primary, in his own party, as a second term incumbant.

If we can get Nixon to pull a little more in the general, we may have a chance at flushing Cuomo down the toilet.

If Nixon takes 34% in the general (she won't) we could potentially get into whatever runoff scenario NY state law has.

Last I checked, Nixon is still running on the Working Families party line. The Green party still has Howie Hawkins, and Stephanie Miner has said she's running as an independent. I don't know how Miner is perceived among potential Dem voters in the greater Syracuse area, but i HAVE to believe that she'll pull a bunch of votes from Cuomo.

In 2014, Cuomo won over Astorino by about 535k votes. There were 511k votes cast for Nixon in the primary yesterday. In 2014, Cuomo also pulled 126k on the Working Families line.

Lets throw some completely arbitrary numbers around:
Take half of the WFP votes and give them to Nixon, as some will vote party loyalty. Call it 62k
Take half of the Nixon primary voters and give them back to her in the general, because she generated a good following. Call it 255k votes.
Nixon could hang on to 310k votes. Subtract that from the 535k, and that leaves us with 225k votes.

There are about 67k registered voters in the City of Syracuse alone, 37k of them are Dems. Is it possible that Miner could pull 100k from the Syracuse region? That takes us to a 115k delta.

How many Dems stay home? How many GOP voters mobilize? How many Dems and independents across the state vote AGAINST Cuomo because they're pissed with his shenanigans?

Here's the thing that concerns me: There is no way of knowing how many votes Larry Sharpe will pull from Molinaro.

Yes, I'll FULLY admit that the numbers I'm assuming are simply tosses at a dartboard. But I don't think my assumptions are completely insane. This could be a great opportunity to overthrow the king. NOW is the time to mobilize not just for Molinaro, but also against Cuomo. If you have friends who lean left, it might be a better sell to try to sway them towards Miner or Nixon rather than towards Molinaro.
