Asking if there is a Grandfather Clause equates to screw you, I've already got mine mentality that thoroughly pisses me off.

I hate to say it but maybe if more of the country feels the pain of NYer's then maybe there will be more outrage and change for all. I was always convinced that the NRA let NY and California fall because of a lack of support from the rest of the country when a lot of BS laws got pushed through. I think the lack of apathy from the rest of the country happened because they never thought it could happen to them.

I say just go for it you antis.
I'm sitting here on the sidelines as just a law abiding minion trying to use my vote and writing my representatives to influence my will on politics and it effectively gets me absolutely nowhere other than temporarily feeling good.
I'm sick of watching our rights being slowed eroded away. As the old saying goes, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
We are the proverbial frog in the slowly warming up water and many won't realise it until things have gradually changed irreversibly.
If the antis gradually continue to chisel away our rights, every time it happens we will be angry, protest, demonstrate. Trample a lawn and put signs of protest on our front lawn or clever bumper stickers on our vehicles, but the fact is we go about our daily law abiding lives just slightly more jaded.
It will take something outrageous enough, to enough people to actually act as a catalyst of change. If either at the federal level or enough states enact enough bans/restrictions (think NYSAFE or Cali laws but worse)etc them it may outrage enough people. At that point we would have to pin our hopes on open defiance, and a migration of people within this country to enclaves of "sanctuary cities or states" where they openly refuse to follow the law. At that point things will become interesting. That's when you will openly see secession movements or outright hostility.
But I don't think we ever get to that point, I think the antis are too cunning to provoke us that much. They know we are more law abiding than they are so they are going to be patient and continue to play the long game and Just turn up the water a few degrees at a time and other than a few trampled lawns on state capitals they will get away with it.

Too bad Las Vegas is bullshit. It’s falling apart more each day.
Except they turned the heat up too quickly. More and more American citizens are realizing how determined our elected elite are with regards to taking away our Rights.
Now, if we could only get them off the couch!
