They do not have the authority to just register them.Could, then they will just call it an application fee.
This is a Federal Bill...
damn, this will never happen. And if it does pass, my bet is most states will ignore it, and pass laws to void it
Geez, I though the catch 22 was you needed a Federally issued licenses for marijuana and to get it you had to bring a sample to DC, but since it was illegal to have it without a license you would be arrested and the weed seized. They do not have the authority to just register them.
The entire justification of the NFA is based on the notion of it being a tax. If it stops being a tax then they have no authority to enforce it at all.
Most people don't realize how much of the federal law structure is based on the power to tax.
Marijuana isn't actually illegal federally, it's just taxed and they won't let you pay the tax. Sound familiar ?
Thanks I never looked into in honestly because NYS doesn’t allow any NFA items. They do not have the authority to just register them.

A good friend of mine is my town's police commissioner, I wonder if he can appoint me to a non paid position and I be called an LEO?No worries....
I'd be fine...
Law enforcement agencies and the US military wouldn't be subject to the tax,

It is my understanding this moronic proposal has zero traction in the house and senate and was immediately dismissed by the Democrat Senators leading the left's gun control legislation.Hahahaha... Yeah...
2 Words alrighty!!!
Eat shit!
Fuck you!
Suck my!
Get lost!
Dip Shits!
Yeah Try!
Oh...
Almost forgot...
POLL TAX
ASS HOLES!
Besides, like everything else, this would just create a HUGE secondary market for those already in-circulation 300 million firearms that are currently UNTAXED! Or do the propose taxing TRANSFERS too? Not just SALES?
Anyways... Just a bunch of baloney they know won't go fucking anywhere! Trying to use scare tactics to get a RINO to jump on their BUS if they only promise not to do that...
And wouldn't ya know, it would create a definable separate class, those who could afford RIGHTS and all the rest who get to enjoy their cake!
Fuck these idiots! I hope every single one loses their seat and has to go back to working for a living instead of whoring themselves for a few votes more! Pieces of shit!
Hey... By the new State laws, and the infinitesimally thin skin of Progressives, my post could be considered AGGRESSIVE and subject me to a Red Flag maybe... Because you know, if it's against their ideologies, then you're a threat!
I actually hope they pass it.This wacko liberal wet dream of a 1000% tax ain't gonna happen
I remember reading about some small town where the sheriff would swear any resident that wanted in as a volunteer deputy to bypass some of the restrictions.Sure why not.
We have fire police, as I was told by a volunteer fire person once.
You used to be able to do AOWs.Thanks I never looked into in honestly because NYS doesn’t allow any NFA items.
However, Webber's suggestion wouldn't work. Beyer's bill, as it stands, imposes the tax on manufacturers, producers, and importers. It wouldn't be possible for a gun store to exploit any such regulatory loophole. For example, a liquor store can't circumvent alcohol taxes by switching the product and selling food instead.Republican congressional candidate suggests that gun stores sell 'fun-sized Snickers' bars for the price of assault rifles to circumvent a potential firearms tax
Errol Webber suggested that a 1,000% tax on AR-15s could be averted by selling a Snickers bar for the same price as the weapon.www.businessinsider.com
