This is all that matters. I don't know why people still get hung up on the personality. I'm sure we've all dealt with people in our lives that were absolute douche nozzles but were the best at what they did. I want someone that is the best to get the job done. I don't have to live with them.

While I agree with you and I will cast my vote for Trump but is Trump more electable in the general election than DeSantis is? The polling would indicate yes between republicans and democrats but I think more in between people would have voted for DeSantis.
I think Haley may try to run as a third party candidate and upset this election. We will see what happens and I surely could be wrong here.
I do hope Trump wins but I initially wanted DeSantis.

Agreed. Although a better (way better) choice than someone like say shit for brains that's in the white house now, DeSantis always and still does seem like establishment to me. The polished double speak politician is what we are actually disgusted with anymore. Say one thing and do another is all we've gotten for decades. I appreciate Trump's genuine crudeness and unapologetic attitude. Don't we all want transparency?

Right, you are. That douche nozzle with the personality didn't get us in any new wars, ended Iranian attacks on our ships, got Rocket Man to stop test firing missiles, and never had Russia invade anyone, unlike the President before and after him. That's just the extremely short list.

He's gonna win, because the 2 party system of our govt sucks... It's amazing that he exposed it, and nothing has changed, how both parties have such weak fields of candidates, and most are same as the old bosses... They all suck, they all suck badly!

He won in 16' because of that... Even when he took the Republican Convention and nomination, a majority of the party were still laughing at him! He took office with Republican control of BOTH houses in Congress and they fought him like no end and despite his accomplishments, they did little to carry his agenda! Why? Because he's an outsider! Same goes for his cabinet... Was riddled with issues because those who could fill spots with experience and knowledge were all from the swamp!!! Anyways...

I don't like his ridiculous bravado and mouth... But he's what's best for this country with little doubt! And any idiot voting for the current administration to repeat should be taken to re-education camps for the 4 years he'll be in office! Round em' up, lock em' up! That goes for Clinton too, there's some unfinished business there!

I hope, he disbands the FBI, lol... Restructures the IRS, and rips up the policies and bullshit from the 2012 NDAA and forward, that restructured the acronym agencies power structure, ie, channeling it all to the Oval Office, but that's all a stretch. Lol

Honest question. How so? Again, the results are what matter. Would being more polished make an outcome any better? There are some that have such severe TDS that it wouldn't matter how much he "straightened up". Low information voters (aka useful idiots) will never be swayed. They will happily go along with what the media tells them to do and think and that's that. So being more polished helps absolutely nothing. I'm forced to disagree. Hate is a very powerful motivator. Trump's base of about 35-40% of the population will stand by him regardless of what happens. The TDS-infected Left will crawl over poisoned broken glass to vote against Trump. This latter group is realistically only a bit smaller than Trump's base. So, the "independent undecided" (read: intentionally uneducated people) will make the final determination. This "independent" group are swayed by popular opinions, media, and peer pressure. They may vote against Trump (not FOR Biden, in their minds) because Trump is a "crazy, fascistic, anti-democracy, racist, who tweets mean things and enbarasses our country on the international stage."

These supposed independents are overwhelmingly unable to look past Trump's most superficial veneer and see that under Trump we had:


Personally, I think that as soon as Trump is convicted of some illegitimate charge, "independents" will quickly break 80%/20% against him. THAT will sway the battleground states enough in favor of incumbent President Bernie Lomax.

Sure...Trump's conviction will be overturned on appeal. But, by that time, the intentional damage will have been done.

I'm personally very scared about what is going to happen in this country after the Deep State blocks Trump and reelects Biden.

This is an interesting opinion of the people who are not actually swayed by either side.
Most "independent" people I know are that way because they've looked into both parties and found them disgusting. They are far less likely to be swayed by media, popular opinion, or peer pressure because they live their own life and look into what is going on around them.

And, right now, most of them are saying the Democrats have really fucked things up.

I care about policy, not personality. Sure it would be great to have both but if I have to give one of those things up it would be personality. I care about the job done. I care about living my life the way it should be lived. I care about freedom, the border being closed, the constitution being followed, the economy doing well, inflation going down, interest rates going down, world conflict going down, weaponization of the federal government and the alphabet agencies going away, ridiculous regulations going away, energy independence, punishing criminals and anarchist groups that have free reign, getting rid of the woke, free speech actually being free, liberalism taken out of the schools, men not competing in women's sports, punishing people that harm kids related to trans issues, etc.. I'm sure I can go on but these are the things I care about and these are the things Trump agrees with us on I believe. I care about what he does, not what he says or how he says it. That should be all anybody should care about.
