CTH has had a problem with desantis for quite some time now. I'm puzzled why he is so anti-desantis. He is twisting Soros' words. He is not endorsing him, only commenting that he is likely to be the Republican nominee.

I voted for trump twice but the man clearly has some issues. He let the deep state outplay him every single time and did nothing. He could have ended russiagate in it's tracks by declassifying all the relevant documents but got played by the bureaucracy.

Desantis is doing a pretty good job fighting Disney and the crazy woke left without putting his foot in his mouth.

Soros is the political polar opposite of desantis so if he is saying something positive about him he's doing it deliberately to hurt him with his base to discredit him because he is worried of what he is accomplishing and his potential.

Agree. Just watched the video of Soros statement, it wasn't an endorsement at all. Huge misstatement by CTH.

He'd like to see Trump and DeSantis battle for the nomination with RD winning and then this leading to Trump running as an Independent. Split the vote and the dem wins. Not an endorsement.

Sundance and his little site has turned into a cult. Its all Trump all the time, and narry a bit of criticism of the man. Its sad and pathetic. Its one thing to support the guy because of his platform and some of the things he tried to do in office (like going after China, I am totally in favor of that, and strongly supported Trump on that), but anyone who refuses to critically look at the Trump years and the, at minimum, unforced (or worse, stupid or immoral) policy and enforcement errors Trump did not need to make, really needs to take the blinders off and take a hard look at his actual, implemented policies and enforcement, versus what he said he stood for and was going to do.

He's still running around telling people that his Operation Warp Speed saved hundreds of millions of lives, for God's sake!

The globalists aren't scared of Trump. They ran his ass out of Washington with a long-planned covert op that he played right into. He put that bitch Birx and that bastard Fauci on TV for months from the "outbreak" of WuFlu in January/February of 2020 right through until he was pushed out of office by the rigged election he did absolutely nothing to stop. He was blinkered then, and he's blinkered now. I could go on. I don't care about mean tweets, I care about getting things done, and nothing Trump did has stood the test of time. He did nothing to drain the swamp, and it chewed him up and spit him out. His policies were undone even before they ran his ass out of Washington on a rail.

Meanwhile, Desantis has actually implemented, and then carried out (actual smart, moral law enforcement), a lot of good, actually conservative, decent policy for the citizens of Florida. He also is pretty unflappable and stands by his policies without waffling or caving to the demrat scum in his state or to the woke online or media mob.

That's not to say I trust Desantis either. I trust none of them. He's probably a sell out too. His political jockeying at this point towards running in 2024 raises my hackles. He should finish his term in Florida and run later, and if he doesn't, then I take that as a clear sign he's a sell out.

However, beyond the lack of any kind of even mild criticism of Trump's term in office, I would note that Sundance nor almost any of his followers/commenters, ever talk about any of the things Desantis has actually done in Florida.

Gee, I wonder why Sundance, who spent years trolling through the minutest of gory details of the Russia Russia Russia fiasco (very good data mining and analysis) never actually talks about any of the policies Desantis has pushed and enforced?

Could it be its because he's a Trump hack partisan?

Sundance jumped the shark 2 years ago. Its one thing to be a partisan for your guy, its another thing to be a hack who can't weigh both the pros and cons.

Soros' 'endorsement' of DeSantis is a joke. It is a total ploy. No different than me being a registered Dumb so that I can have my otherwise meaningless vote in NY count just a little bit toward something in the Primaries. You know, just upset the applecart.

As for Trump, he had his chance from '16 to '18 when the R's had the majority in all three branches. He didn't drain the swamp when he had that opportunity. Things that could have been accomplished during that majority didn't get done. With him in the Oval Office again, without the super majority in his favor, another term would turn into another lame duck presidency. We cannot endure another status quo four years.

For the record, I too voted for DJT twice. If he somehow garnered the R candidacy in '24 I'd vote for him again. Although I'm hoping he's not the party's choice. We must have someone who can accomplish what they campaign on. Unfortunately BOTH parties don't want him and won't work with him.

I understand that to a point; that point being the lack of any critical thinking about Trump's term as president, and how that reflects what another Trump campaign and term might look like. No one running for office should be above careful, thoughtful criticism, especially with regards to the Constitution, our founding documents, the need for a good moral compass, and a comprehensive look at someone's actual track record.

Furthermore, as far as I'm concerned, its an open question whether or not Trump was, or is, "an outsider to the political system."

I don't go for showmanship, so his rallies and videos and speeches don't move me.

His track record, the company he keeps, the things he actually does, the promises he does not keep or even attempt to pretend to fulfill, etc.

As far as I'm concerned, those ought to be the objective rubric for anyone who attempts to touche the levers of power.

This is why I no longer take Sundance seriously. He overlooks or excuses the sins of Trump, deflecting blame for any of the man's failures by stoking the MAGA, Trump is the only way, best president we ever had, bullshit.
