wood/metal shop/drafting (how to make a blue prints to build something .. i had to use a ruler and pencil ) .. now its CAD
home ect (cooking) / sewing ) .. i stocked the schools freezer with my first deer .. we all ate like champs and how to cook venison

classes on how to go buy insurance got home and car ( i had that rolled into the civic class ) we actually had to go to places after school

Communism (and its evils) was a part of Junior and Senior High School History curriculum through at least the 80's as were the subjects of "Civics" and "Social Studies" the subjects weren't really poplar, but they were damned important to know.
