I read most of this article and gave up out of disgust. They support those actions in Portland over law and order. They shouldn’t work for DHS then. DHS mission is to protect the homeland from threats this is a threat!! Sad they can’t wake up and see this.

The rioters probably represent only a minority of the local population. Then again it's suspected some of the rioters may be from out of state. In any event the actual local population pays local taxes AND FEDERAL TAXES. Given that the local law enforcement community has not been enabled to protect the locals it seems the federal authorities have to obligation to protect the property and rights of the locals. How many civil rights have the rioters infringed upon of the locals?

Given that some of the rioters my not be locals, it's the duties of the feds to determine what is a local problem and what may actually be a bigger problem.

The rioters are acting like invading combatants. They are violent and not covered by the 1st Amendment.

Shame on the locals who do not empower themselves to utilize the 2nd Amendment at enforce the local laws due an abandoned by local government.

Fuck Portland... If I lived there I would hire a lawyer and sue immediately about breach of the public trust in every single elected official in abdicating their fiduciary responsibilities. Fucking city council voting to actually allow the lawless zone to exist is beyond imagination! So if you lived there, you were supposed to just deal with it?

Can't understand what Trump is waiting for... Send in the troops as the city council has endorsed bedlam and mayhem, any who voted to support the zone, should be arrested and charged in complicity for all the damage and any injuries which occured!

I don’t buy this out of state out of area protestors. The arrest records and interviews I’ve seen just don’t support this at all.

again, I call for ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT to with draw from Portland. Let the city burn, let anarchy take over, watch violent crime sky rocket. Watch as businesses get devastated. And when the criminals are pounding on the door of the Governor house, THEN the governor may act. Until them, fuck'em

i would go the exact opposite way.

All Law Enforcement should go in and arrest the city council and any other decision-making person responsible for the harm to the city, as well as any and all violent protesters, and arrange for a proper and secure emergency vote to replace them. The previous administration can then be held until trial.

Then again, if they were found to be guilty of aiding a riot, I would also recommend they be hung. Publicly. And any and all assets they own be turned over to the People as recompense for their crimes.
