Yeah, I forgot. Probably the same guys who wouldn't know word one on where to begin online shopping, probably barely online. The same kind of guy who makes a facebook account and uploads that stupid picture of them just staring at the camera like they've never seen one before. I know the type.

I've seen the same with some on here over the years. So proud to come on and say what a great deal they got on ammo from a store that would throw all of us under the bus at a moments notice to appease the sheeple.

on 9/12/2016 Dicks sporting goods opened at $58.67 and closed at $60.44.
on 10/30/17 DKS opened at $26.67 and closed at $24.48. since this date, DKS has been hovering between $30 and $40, with no significant movement in any direction for the last year and a half
word on the street (stock experts) say *HOLD* or *REDUCE* only the "Street Ratings" recommends a *BUY*
just be awear that the markets were closed today due to President Bush's funeral

It's sad. I used to work in Binghamton and once in awhile venture over to Dick's on...Court St? I understand this was the original store, so there was some nostalgia to wallow in.

Dick's will go out of business. It's just a matter of time. They're not going to be able to keep the light on by selling baseball bats, golf clubs & exercise mats. Other stores have already tried & failed.

i was in dicks, well actually field and stream to fondle some guns. since i knew i wasn't going to buy any at the time i didn't want to waste anyone's time at my LGS's. The store was a ghost town. was greeted by 2 people while on the way to the gun counter and had THREE people at the counter try and help me. they are desperate for a customer. Last time i was in the store, maybe a year ago, they had a line 2 deep with "take a number" trying to help all the customers.
Was thinking the same. Hermans was tge best when I was a kid. Guns Camping real hiking equipment all quality stuff. Later Modells and Sports Authority were kind of there but not quite. All went the ball sport route and all sucked balls till they closed or are on their way.
You must be getting up there if you remember Hermans as an outdoor store

I've never seen a Dicks down here, but I wouldn't buy from them anyway. I get all my stuff from Academy or an LGS chain called Carter's Country.

They're pretty much a NY chain started in Binghamton NY. They used to be a great local store up to the late 80's/early 90's. Then grew into a sporting game store. Took more interest in soccer, hockey, and golf. No longer worth the experience so you're not missing anything.

Dick’s Sporting Goods May Close Field & Stream After Gun Control Policy Hurt Business
The company said it may soon close down their entire Field & Stream chain of 35 stores across 18 states.
“My sense is that we can either take a look at closing that store, that concept or reconceptualizing it into a more of an outdoor type concept, and we’re taking a look at all of these things and by the end of—the peak of the hunting season is coming up in—and basically, the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth quarter and as we move into the end of the fourth quarter, we’ll make a decision as to what we’re going to do,” Stack said.
Stack admitted that the gun control policy affected the store’s “foot traffic,” but maintained it hasn’t done anything to profits.
The company sang a different tune just a week ago. Dick’s had to admit to investors “that its decision to remove certain ‘assault-style’ weapons from its Field & Stream stores cost it dearly and may limit its future gains.”
Dick’s stocks went down 4.5% while “J.P. Morgan Chase downgraded Dick’s shares, from ‘overweight’ to ‘neutral.'” The Daily Wire continued:
