True, but a Hillary win would have been completely devastating.
Oh, absolutely, all I'm getting at is the country voted for Trump for more than SCOTUS picks, this budget is just a bad sign I'm afraid of things to come.

I just heard Trump saying this 1 trillion dollar budget is one of the best deals ever made.

Trump just said it was a HUGE win for Americans.

These days I'm all about managing expectations. My hope was that Trump would get some good SCOTUS picks (one so far and hopefully a couple more). That was number one for me. Border security was a close second and I believe that they got more funding for border agents (probably cheaper and more effective than a wall anyway). So I count those and mostly successes. After that maybe some relief at the state level for gun rights (hasn't happened yet) and a crackdown on all the progressive snowflake nonsense (it's still a free country and only a cultural shift can correct that). I guess I have a lukewarm opinion of Mr. Trump so far in his first 100 days.
And for what it's worth the vast majority of both Democrats and Republicans are wholly and completely useless and I dare say enemies of the state. There are still a few patriots in both parties but their numbers are dwindling. And the New World Order marches on.

There is a lot more out there on Trump that was known long before he was ever elected.
Trump is doing what all politicians do in the DC swamp: monetizing his political position and power for his own dynasty, in the same manner as the Kennedy clan, the Clintons, the Bushes, and so on.
When he promised to drain the $wamp, everyone assumed he meant to do so to get rid of the gators by $tarving them to death.
Unfortunately, its looking like he's merely diverting the $wamp water to his own clan's advantage, and going along with the rest of the gators to do so while ignoring the big game hunters that put him in office with the expectation that he meant what he said as an "outsider."
I hope these various articles are wrong, but would we be surprised if they aren't? Trump is a NY City liberal, with oversees business ventures in some of the worst hell holes on the planet, and long ties to very shady people (including the Clintons and Schumer).
In the run up to the defeat of Shillary, I basically kept my mouth shut about Trump because I do in fact support many of the policies that the People who voted for him support. I am not against the Trump voters, support most of their conservative positions, and certainly did not want Clinton to get the office.
Trump has a very long and very checkered history. He's wheeled and dealed on casinos and hotels and other business interests all over the country and the world, in some of the worst political hell holes (including Islamic totalitarian nations). He's never been an "outsider" in any way, shape, or form.
I'm certainly glad Shillary got her comeuppence, but Americans were fooling themselves in thinking that Trump is the solution to the myriad of moral, fiscal, and security problems that face the nation.

What if people in Michigan and Pennsylvania threw their vote away to the libertarian? That's what I was getting at. Had there been Darths in all those states, we'd have a 9th Circuit judge in Gorsuch's place.

If you live in a swing state, or a potential swing state, by all means vote strategically. For the rest of us symbolically is best.
Read the Breitbart article about Kushner and have noted with concern, from the inauguration onward, the growing number of "Goldman Sachs types" in Trump's retinue.
It appears to me that "The Swamp" will not be drained, but perhaps get better infrastructure.
IMHO, "we" need to be more intolerant to have any effect.

How do you know you are in a swing state? Trump won states that were without a doubt going to Hillary according to the media.
Never throw your vote away. Symbolism mean absolutely nothing to either party.

Paul Ryan did all in his power to defeat Trump ... I would hazard a guess that 25 % of so called Republicans in Washington would have rather seen Hillary win .... Just a big old boys club.. Trump cannot do this by himself . Build the wall... How much influence does the drug industry south of the border have in Washington ...? A lot of people in this country making lots of money off the drug trade ... Very rich people .. Powerful people . ... To say Trump is boning us is wrong... The uniparty in Washington is ... These folks don't care who is in power ....Backroom deals still being spun .. Sons and daughters on this lobbying committee or that one .. I usually agree with damned near everything you say. Not this. If you really think that Hillary would try to get the 10 percent libertarian vote in NY, well.....
The same thing goes if Bush or Kasich was the nominee. No way they are going to change their agenda to try to get 10 percent of the NY vote.

They may not change their core platform, but it will influence what they decide to bring up.
You're not going to get a pro gun Dem at the national level, but you might scare the crap out of the normal ones so that they leave that issue alone for instance.
Most of what we suffer from in NY was from Cuomo trying to pander to the left to set himself up for a presidential bid. If his advisors had warned him that the issue was poison, and that he isn't going to gain any votes from the left, but he will drive votes to his opponent instead, do you still think we would have ended up with SAFE ?
