In every group class I've taken, muzzle and trigger discipline has been strictly enforced. If that guy was a student on one of those classes, he'd have been immediately removed from the range.

And rightly so. That dumb son of a bitch has no business teaching a class about handgun safety and Handling , but he sure as hell needs to attend a couple.
If he had done that with a 500, with more than 1 round in the cylinder, he would probably be dead.
As other's have done.
This is the reason why I only load a single round at a time into my 44 mag for people that have never shot it, even if they're comfortable shooting something like a 9mm. I've seen people let it snap back before. Once they've shot a few rounds and they know what to expect, they can load it right up.
