Disarmed Under Kathy Hochuls CCIA Saturday!

So my buddy and I went to the Whiskey Riot at River Works in Downtown Buffalo. We have done this before but this may be the last time.
Standing in the line 15 minutes before opening, Security Guards begin Id'ing some of the youngins but not me. He then says to take the metal out of our pockets before being wanded.
We took an Uber downtown, stopped for lunch at the Swanee House and walked across the canal.
No car and both of us are strapped.
I approach the Security Guard and start asking questions. They never did this in the past 4 times I was here, He says the new Law.
So, I had to call my wife and have her retrieve our guns.
Knowing that all this BS would go away on March 20th I was unhappy. It cost us a half hour of whiskey tasting.
But we prevailed.

Probably the last year going to this event though. Like everything else in this woke ass country. It was mediocre at best.

I would have Ubered my way to a different bar. Aint no whiskey in the world worth letting some establishment disarm me over.

I don't understand this woke bulshit having that event as a gun free zone is just an invitation to an evil Nut Job

I don't recall it being part of the law for the establishment to make sure nobody is carrying... I don't see where they get in trouble for not making sure Hochul's "no guns" policy is enforced. I would not have entered, and would never go back. They enforced Hochul's mandates because ☆THEY WANTED TO☆ .

oddly, most states that allow open carry, are not allowed to carry in a Bar. **technically** you should check your firearm at the bar?? But no one ever does. LOL of course, every state has their own rules, but generally speaking, Constitutional carry = no alcohol

I believe they have to o this to hold events down on the canal side. They used to have to post no gun signs by the order of the city since it’s their property.
