What is the original LOP on this rifle?

If the objection to the limbsaver is it's a "clothes grabber", why not make a "buttplate" for it out of the kydex? Then you have an extender you can use on multiple 10/22's. Just wondering - I know, sometimes the project is the goal, not just the result.
It's a clothes grabber and it noodles around, I want a very stable stock. Anything less reduces my accuracy.
To use peep sights on my other rifle, the LOP is fine because I hold the rifle differently.
And yes I just love the project aspect

Hey @Phauxtoe I'd be interested in reading about your Winter Appleseed experience.. I've done exactly one Appleseed (it was spring time), and plan to do more. They just never have them around me.. I think my next one I'll use a scope, I have a hard time with iron sights. I tried using the 'Tech Sights' but only found them marginally better.
What sort of upgrades did you use on your rifle, what kind of ammo, etc?

I started with a regular 10/22
I put a Nikon 2-7 x 32
Installed a Kidd trigger job kit
Made a home made Cheek riser
I used Mini mags
The scope made a world of difference
I couldn't seem to do better than 209 with the tech sights on my old 10/22

Hi,
Nice to see how people are creative to fix simple ergonomics issues.
One thing that works great for an adjustable stock is to insert 3/4 threaded rod or long bolt and anchor that with rocktite. You can also insert a copuple of pvc tubes or whatever for counterweight containers using lead shot or even for storage while adding rigidity. Then the back plate can be made of aluminum and cut to fit a pad. Or simply cut the factory and fill it with rocktite too and a nut to act as the reciever end.
A couple of nuts in between will allow to lock the depth and angle in place.
