DIY - Archery Backstop Help

I recently picked up a bow to do some target shooting in my backyard. Although I hit the target 90% of the time, I do miss sometimes and arrows end up in the woods behind my house.

I see you can buy backstop netting, but it is expensive. Is there a cheap and easy way to make a 6 x 6 backstop ?

Just lay a few bodies stacked across the 6' span. Bloomberg, Soros, Obama, Holder, Cuomo, and last but not least, Hildabeast!

Perfect backstop!

I use bales of hay to slow the arrows and a piece of carpet to stop them.
However, I use target tips, not broad heads. The BH will go through im sure.

I made a 4'x4' backstop. Mine is made out of 4 Walmart styrofoam targets. I put some old deck board around the perimeters and I ratchet strap them together. Then add some back braces so it doesn't fall over. It stops almost all my bad shots, I may add another layer to it. I am shooting a psa omen pro.....it is pretty fast. I can get pictures if you want. Not sure if I explained it well enough.

only issue with them mats is it takes some work to get your arrow out of it ..

see if you can find a trampoline at a garage sale cheap. use the fabric like a net behind your target. as long as you hang it with some slack in it the arrows with target tips should not penetrate it completely but, they will be caught.

I buy a few hay bales every year for a back stop. They eventually turn into compost with the addition of grass clippings, vegetable food waste, ashes from the wood stove and rotten wood pulp from down trees.
