Help me to understand this...$5.7 billion for 215 miles of "wall"...

I'm no math wiz but I think that comes to $26,511,627.91 per mile!

Is it just me or does this seem kinda pricey!

What's the design of it? Is there a deep footer? How tall? Things like that can add up fast.

You also have to dig in remote areas and somehow get concrete out there. Rebar and or heavy steel.

Let's not forget it will probably need data and power for the length of run. Sensors cameras and all sorts of other unknown equipment.

Will there be garrisons and or detention centers built in remote locations?

The really scary part of this whole thing is we think this is a tremendous price to pay. But think we just gave twice that to Mexico and south America for what? No return. The waste in this country is staggering.

There are undisputed examples that walls work. I want to see every part of the puzzle
of border security in place and a physical barrier is a big part of that puzzle.

Don't get me wrong. I would like to see the entire run of border with a barrier of some sort but it seems like an expensive system. Why not just a razor topped fence about 24' high charged like a cattle fence with about 500,000 volts (Low amperage so as not to kill) on a .5 second pulse cycle. Of course you would also Need sensors and drones to respond to threats to the system. The drones should be capable of firing tranq. darts at identifiable human targets if there is an attempt to breach the fence. Then BP can swoop in and collect the bodies and deposit them on the southern side of the border.

1. The president is using this impasse to educate the people about the hypocrisy of the left, and it's working.

2. ANY wall, of ANY design will not stop the determined, but WILL make MOST illegal aliens think long and hard about even leaving home to try.
