Let's be clear here, Trump is going to win in a near landslide. The polls are keeping Biden in this because the ratings for CNN, Msnbc, ABC, and all the rest are at near record lows. They have to say its close to keep the mindless masses engaged. If they reported that Trump had a substantial lead viewers would tune out en mass. The day after election day the mainstream media will forget completely the Covid and move right back into Russian collusion and i hate myself for saying this, "Impeachment The Sequel".

What happened to Clinton is going to happen to him: a loathe, hated candidate spurs the other side to action. It was clinton. Now it's trump. You can even see on these forums the most we can do is mock biden for being useless and a creep. Nobody here actually loathes him. The loathing for hillary was firey hot, and among many it is for Trump. I know of two women at least who absolutely despise him, and one is a republican.
Way too soon to tell. I see poll numbers but I am very wary of them. The press is doing everything they can to defeat Trump so I suspect they have skewed the polls by limiting likely republican voters. I also think the silent majority has learned that explicit Trump support invites criticism automatically. Yet I know a few people who typically vote republican but can't stand Trump's style. I'd like to think the average person can see what the democrats are doing in the major cities and vote against them by re-electing Trump. But that may be wishful thinking.

This is my main argument with my wife. I acknowledge all of Trump's failings, but for me it's an existential issue that I could not vote for a democrat, potentially for any reason, because I think they quite clearly hate the country, so it would make as much sense as voting for a saudi prince for president. I could have a decade ago but modern democrats are not like the old.

Trump needs to stop pandering to his core base. They are not large enough and many of them are delusional. Many of the people that want to support Trump are left speechless by some of his antics, comments and asshattery. It is hard to believe that he CAN’T win if a team around him bitchslaps some common sense into him but it is also hard to believe that is even possible at this point.
