It is official America is for sale and the Doctor Groups are the first one to get paid. I know the country was for sale back in the 60's and that is when small business owned it.

Epidemic: a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time.

Disease: a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that produces specific signs or symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not simply a direct result of physical injury.

For "gun violence" to be an epidemic it must have specific signs or symptoms that affect a specific location.
Other than "violence with a gun", what specific signs or symptoms define "gun violence"?
And, if "violence with a gun" is your only answer:
Violence: behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something.

So why would you only declare "gun violence" to be an epidemic and not "violence" alone? Don't you care that "violence" could be perpetrated with something other than a gun? If a woman is raped, but the man didn't have a gun, does that somehow make it better than if she were raped at gunpoint? Or if someone rents a pickup truck and drives into a crowd of people, is that somehow better than if they were shot by a gun? Dead is dead. Violence is violence regardless of the tool used to facilitate it, or even if it occurs without a tool.

If we had more doctors and staffers like yourself, I bet the deaths caused by the medical industrial complex would be far less, and outcomes would be far better.

It seems the professional guilds of all these professions, AMA, ABA, Police Union, Teacher's Union, etc., rarely speak for the rank and file.

Violence has continued to steadily drop, and not one aspect of "God, Jesus, or the bible" has been removed in any manner. That "it's because they removed God from schools!" line is such a blatant lie it makes me LOL every time I read it and think somewhere people actually think that's true.

You would think with the number of deaths caused by the healthcare industry that they would keep their mouths shut. They kill way more people than guns.

And aren’t gun deaths at an all time low and been declining for a while? I wonder what the trends are for deaths in medicine?

It is much worse than claimed in this report. I was professionally involved in some peripheral efforts to get the "industry" to "acknowledge and take actions to improve."

First, this report only condsidered hospital deaths.

Second, this report did not consider hospital patients where medical error was a " contributing cause" or a "precursor" to the patients death so if death was latent ( meaning the patient did not die right away) or was in a hospital because they were quite ill ... the error was not included.

Third, the industry openly admits that, in large part because of our litigation happy country of ambulance chasing lawyers as well as the insurance and malpractice industry, medical errors are usually covered up or not voluntarily reported.

Fourth, this report did not consider many malpractice instances (since litigation may be on going, it was not a mistake not an error by a hospital worker [don't ask], or it was a deliberate act and not an error).

Fifth this study ignores deaths from out of hospital pharmacy errors, prescription errors (paper or internet), or eventual opiod / narcotic death from either inappropriate pain management, legal greed, or criminal disbursements .

Sixth, the "industry" does not self report or errors are never recognized since causes of death for hospital patients are usually just an obvious cause evaluation and rarely a thorough investegation.

I mentioned on here a few weeks ago about a family whose son bled to death because of the radiation treatment he had for throat cancer. It weakened the vessels in his neck and they ruptured. His father almost died recently while prepping for a colonoscopy. Anyway, two days ago another patient of mine told me he had a bad weekend. His wife was taking the meds for her colonoscopy and the same thing happened. Her vitals crashed. BP, pulse was minimal. He had to keep her alive at their home until the ambulance came. They were able to stabilize her at the hospital. Her doctor told them they need to get her out of the hospital as quickly as possible because of all of the crap that was there. My patient said the doc was adamant about getting her the hell out of there ASAP. He said this whole thing wound up costing him. He had to book a vacation for the two of them after this stressful event. He said they are done with colonoscopy's. Two people in less than a month with the same experience. Made me wonder how often this happens that we don't know about.
