Does anybody have the blue book of guns, to help me with a price

I have a friend who just got his permit,Has his permit in hand and now he cant purchase a gun Except a Walther P something in 40 cal that doesn't fit his hand, He cant find a gun any place. I have a bunch of New In Box Glocks in 9MM (all prize guns from the GSSF) I was going to let him see if any fit him, I want to help the guy out ,but I want to get a fair price as I ll probably have to wait another year or so to replace it . I am going to have him pay the ffl charges. I spoke to a ffl near him and he wanted me to consign all my NIB Glocks and he said then he would tell me a value. Just looking to help a friend out


I believe come Nov 5th after the count is settled all will go back to normal and this whole half a year of Craziness will just disappear from history

Don’t have a book but a new in the box Glock would easily fetch around $600 today. I would say $500 would be an excellent price if you wanted to help him out but not “give it away” so to speak.

Last year I paid $575 for my brand new Glock 20 gen 4.
There were a few other glocks in the same price range.....from $540 for the 380 glock to $650 for the glock 19x.
So, to help a bit id say $500.......$450 if you really want to help.

I just got on gun broker to see the NY completed sales ,WOW are the prices crazy. I was looking at used Glocks . it seems that the 9mm and the sub compact 45 were bringing crazy sold prices,but the full sized 45 were listed with high reserves but were no sales. I am going to search the 40's to see how they are. It would almost make sense to empty the safe at these prices . I wonder if folks think Joe and the Hoe are going to win and there will be no more guns .

OMG I just searched for the Remington tac 14 on gun broker and one just sold for $2,150.00 and another one for $1,900.00 I remember being at the Middle town gun show before this all went crazy and walking past a table and there was one for sale for around $1,000 and the guy at the table said "Don't just walk past it buy if if you don't you'll be sorry " Well now I am sorry he was right.

Before the panic, factory new MSRP is $550. A little less for the small frame and calibers. Not uncommon to see price range of $550-625 depending on dealer. Panic price is another story

Curious.. If the FFL consign your guns. Do you mean consignment? I imagine there's a 10-20% consignment fee if they sell?
Being that your friend is already interested in your guns, you & your friend would do better w/o the FFL consignment. Go with a private sale (transfer via FFL).

As for replacing them.... Prices may go down after Nov. But what if the other guy gets elected. demand will go through the roof and buying may become even more difficult. hence the panic buys. ( just a thought.)

If trump is re-elected, the left will go batshit denying the results, forcing recounts and prompting more unrest throughout the country. Democrats will continue to push the gun control agenda regardless. The FFL was being a Weiner, Saying if you consign the guys I tell you a value. I am not going to consign my guns. Needless to say my buddy is going to have to travel a little to deal with a ffl I know.

As for charging what I paid for them . These are some of the guns I have won thru the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation. Some I won for getting the lowest score in my Div and some I won thru a random drawing. I only had to pay the upgrade fee for the MOS guns or the high calibers or long slides If I chose them. GSSF been very good to me ! BUT I can't tell you how many dollars I spent to compete, travel cost, Hotel cost . food cost ,entrance fees, Ammo, I probably paid double for the guns I won but it feels good getting a free gun shipped to my FFL.

And yes I I do plan on going to a ffl for a simple deal. He pays me, and the ffl I hand gun to ffl and then he gets on his permit and then picks up his gun. The big problem is as per the NEw York un-safe act the ffl cant charge you so I have seen some real creative invoice for a free ffl charge

I wouldn't bother paying for that. Just as Blue Book for cars, the numbers don't really mean much. An item is worth what people are willing to pay. Those books are usually way off in either direction.

Thank you everyone for your input, I found what I needed on Gun Broker. I plan on letting my buddy look thru my safe if he likes one of the new in a box guns , I will ask him to pay me the current GSSF blue label price as that's what I will have to pay to replace it next year. BUT

I have a Glock 17L that I bought a while ago and I don't think I ever shot it, that my brother In Law has its sister with consecutive serial numbers that I am going to try and sell on gunbroker as a pair , if its easy to do I may sell my other NIB guns as used to take advantage of this buying crase .

I’d say more like 2-2/12 and rising prices all along the way. The days of relatively inexpensive ammunition, in my opinion are just about over except reloading, but even that we’ve already seen scarcity of supplies and rising costs for components, worse than previous shortages. I predict a protracted period of shortages of all firearms related items, due in part to “just in time manufacturing”, along with rising demand. Manufacturer’s aren’t going to heavily invest in infrastructure if they can’t see a return on investment, and they stand to lose if the shortages are short term and they rolled the dice on a new facility. So at least till spring of next year once the election is over, expect empty shelves and indefinite back order online.
