Does anyone have recent info on CT non-resident processing time?

Does anyone have any recent experience with CTs non-resident pistol permit? I sent my application in on Oct 27 and still haven't heard back after 60 days. Just wondering how much longer i should expect to wait.

90 days, and usually right to the tee. But many times as I've read on multiple forums (and had it happen to me) they play the "fingerprints weren't legible enough" to draw it out longer. And it really did happen to me halfway through, as several other posters said the same right at the 6/8 week mark. The second time I had my troopers do 3 sets(it's free for us in Putnam, just go to any barracks no appointment needed) and I shoved all 3 sets in the return envelope so they had no excuse. My first set was perfect too...

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me. They needed 3 sets of prints to get it right. I was talking about 3 months from the date they got the 3rd (and good) set of prints. Although, I think they tried to drag it out and hope I'd lose interest.

So they still playing that game eh? Bastards! Your now like the 8th person including myself that they played it with, and I know my 1st set were perfect.

Well, I'm 9 weeks in so hopefully that game is over? How long ago did you get your licenses?

I sent in my 3rd set of prints in the Spring (mid-March) and got the license mid summer (mid-June or so).

I've had it since 1996, but with multiple moves over past 20 years and so many real world things during that time frame, I let it expire I just did it all as a new applicant January 2016, just about a year ago to the mark. 1996 time,there was no "prints not legible" but then in past couple years and few different gun forums with several people saying the same, it seems thats definitely been the new ploy to play and hope you give up probably. All since Sandyhook era prob..But obviously not everyone, and quite honestly the percentage must be minimal if it's less then a dozen people(that I know of),but the same "excuse" at the exact time frame just isn't a coincidence..

Also, by mandate of the state of CT, they're supposed to have it completed within 90 days. So if it's taking longer (of course if you had the non legible crap it's gonna go past) you definitely have the OK to give a call and see where you are. I've called a couple times and got answers.

just an update - received my CT permit in the mail today, which was exactly 3 months and a week after they received my application. Issue date was on Feb 8 which was EXACTLY 3 months. Coincidence?

Also, no games where they said my fingerprint card wasn't usable. Glad i got this in before the proposed cost increases!

and the sad part is, now i can freely and unrestricted concealed carry from CT all the way to ME, but NOT in my home state!
