Maybe he didn't lie.
Like I said deer and hogs can be also taken with a 22LR and even a 22 cal air gun, all bad choices unless
there is a reasonable explanation to that like a survival or emergency situation and very selective and careful
placement and distance.

The .300 Barack Obama is fine as long as you stay within it’s window. If you want to do so for a 300 yard shot, then another rifle would most definitely be better. In the thick brush within a hundred yards or two, it serves it’s purpose.
To compare it to a .22lr is disingenuous.

3/8 steel shot with the Blackout and the 6.8, both with off the shelf loads.
Make a guess which one is the 6.8 and which one is the Barak Obama.
At 100 yards the 62gr 5.56 is also able to hit hard and defeat the barrier.
The 7.62x39 fails and obviously the barak is even worse.
however, the advantage of the x39 is that while being an old round, with
modern brass and careful reloading and 110gr-120gr stout bullets
one could pump it up to be a better round.
Even with 150gr bullets from a carbine is a much better hunting round.
The barak, simply, doesn't have the case capacity for doing much.
The whisper was conceived as a subsonic round so no surprise it doesn't
do that great in the supersonic high power rifle world.

I have explained many times why the 300 Body Odor sucks so much at supersonic work.
Even for subsonic work it requires pretty much a very well balanced and dedicated setup.
But I think Bill Alexander, the creator and manufacturer of the Grendel and Beowulf, while announcing some
potential new ammo from AA, he does a great job here explaining all the design problems with the whisper/blackout cartrige.

those 22LR guys poppig game under the feeder are hunters too.
probably the same hunters with the other animals got lost and wounded that nobody mentions and we will never see in you tube.
you want a good close range proven cartridge, the 30-30 has been feeding America for generations.
if you want one for the AR the 458 socom, 450 bushmaster or beowolf and 100 times better assuring fast kills.
The barak can kill but it is a horrible choice.
The one I have is the 300 whisper that I bought from JD Jones at SSK that is the 30 caliber version from the whisper line and that
is the same as the 300 blackout that was bought by AAC, renamed and then invested in all this internet marketing to make it do
and look something that it what is not what it was originally designed to do.

Yeah. That’s what you say despite the hundreds if not thousands of deer killed in hunts through the country with the .300 Adaptive Authentic Cartridge on hunts in states that do not allow .223.

You can say that it isn’t enough until you are blue in the face but actual real world kills proves what you say to be not factual. When you compare it to .22lr killing deer, you are being disingenuous since there aren’t thousands of hunters using the 22lr for deer every season.
