BATON ROUGE, La. (WVUE) - A Chalmette woman has filed a petition objecting to the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump and seeking an injunction to disqualify him from the Louisiana primary ballot next March.

Ashley Reeb filed the lawsuit against outgoing Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin, asking that Ardoin be compelled to disqualify Trump from the state’s ballot because of the former president’s role in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Dillard University political analyst Robert Collins described Reeb’s petition as “a very long shot.
“It might be a different situation if he had been criminally convicted in a court of law of insurrection,” Collins said.
“If the Supreme Court upholds the Colorado case, it’s open season for these filings, and you’re going to see one in every state,” Collins said.

14A, Article 5 says US Congress is the decider and this removes any other entity on deciding Article 3.

But if you want an equal and more ludicrous argument to fight fire with fire, here we go. The insurrection in Article three was only the US Civil War and Trump was born after the Civil war plus he was in the Union. Article 3 does not state anything about future insurrections.

Article 5 means the US Congress should of made a law that anyone born in the South and white is disqualified before the date of the end of the war. Or they could of stated, uniformed soldiers of the Confederacy.

Article 5 means Nancy's Commission should of initiated a bill declaring Trump and all those charged in Jan 6 as insurrectionists and disqualified. They did not do this as it would of not passed.

States do not decide this all by themselves. The disregard of Article 5 is completely astounding.
