Hey C, wouldn't this type of Diamond/Tiffany jewelry not lose so much value as you've priced it? Have you called T & co. to see what it's worth or to sell it to a reputable place before knocking it down so low? Sorry to post non buying posts on your sale, but I was just pondering why so low if it was bought at 14k..these things hold superb value. No?

In that case, pawn it for a loan. You'll get what you need if not more for the short term and have the ability to keep it or sell it for a real number if the chance arises. Just a thought...

I bought years ago a pair of diamond earrings for my wife. This year was our 10 year anniversary so I wanted to get her 1 carat diamond earrings by. I paid $200.00 about 16-17 years ago for the half carat earrings and I traded them in for her 1 carat. I got $700.00 trade in value and $250-$300 off the earrings. You might get more than you plan on if you take it into NYC. It has gone up in value. Sure you paid a premium because you bought it from Tiffany, but I'm sure you could make out ok selling it to a dealer. Good luck and I agree. It's a shame you have to sell your stuff because you can't find a job.

This is DONE. I pulled listing for this and another Tiffany piece I had up on ebay. Not comfortable with valuation or if ebay is appropriate venue to sell them. Looking into other options. Thanks guys!

Be careful with ebay. Its too easy to get ripped off as a seller.

If you're going to be near NYC, it would be worth seeing what dealers in the diamond district or Canal St. would give you for them as a baseline.

Unfortunately, for platinum jewelry most retailers/buyers will value the pieces at 90% of metal weight.

Yeah got that. I'd say same for the dealers on 47th St. Need to get it in front of some wealthy housewife's looking for Tiffany. I reached out to Sotheby's and waiting for response.
