Machine gun-toting drone threatens to change combat forever

I recently got into flying a drone because a friend of mine is into it. It's a lot of fun. The last few weeks I haven't had much time or interest. Maybe it was a phase. Although I'd like to think I'll get out and fly it again. Now I'm wondering what it would be like to be able to shoot from it. Combining two things I like has been proven to be really awesome or really devastating if history has taught us anything.

it's unfortunate, but you are right. People with ill-intent will force more restrictions and regulations than there already are. The technology in them and what's involved with flying them is really interesting and it can be a great learning instruments for kids to learn about weather, photography, GPS, etc. It could help get kids back outside and enjoying nature too.

More people die from this drone every year. I'm sure that will change. Like any technology, even fire, or the lowly atom, there is a dark side, or even a lazy side, I can imagine hunters using them to hunt with, even on land they have no legal access to.

Swarming is one of the Military applications I've seen that caused me to raised an eyebrow! It's one thing force on force, conventional military doctrine, but swarming is an unbelievable and undeniable effective weapon! Displayed at this year's Super Bowl, the swarming technology was shown how in civilian uses, a multitude of drones could be coordinated. Now consider, small independent drones with a small warhead, even irradiated amor penetrating... That just keep coming, spot on target, preprogrammed, no need for signal, internal GPS, etc. Can be programmed anti-personnel, etc,... Just crazy! Those things will overwhelm defenses and opponents, just think firing an M60 with guided rounds!

In addition to skeletal enhancement (wearable) mechanisms that will allow human contingents to carry a bigger load, move quicker and jump/climb at ridiculous rates.

Wonder if I could use it to spook the deer off the nieghbors land over to mine. He doesn't hunt or let anyone on his 600 acres, we call it the sanctuary because by the end of the first week of gun season you drive by and there are all kinds of deer just feeding in the fields.
J/K, I don't need to kill a deer that bad, but I'll bet someone will try it somewhere.

M-80's have been regulated in to a felony for the same reason we are pointing out.
If I can find it I will post it tried to take a video of fireworks from the top down. A bottle rocket came right at the drone almost hitting the props..

Theres a youtube vid of a guy who set up a drone with a 9MM. Looks like it worked fine.

Pretty simple stuff, it's an additional activated servo to pull a trigger. If you can put one of those things together just to fly, you can probably put a micro compact semi auto on it too without much of an issue. Being able to aim independently off from a rigid system is a different story.
